  • For this weekend. I've been excited to play in Lincoln for a long time. Nebraska tradition and classy fans makes this such an appealing game.

Guys, I cannot get a feeling for the game thks year. I'm just interested in hearing your thoughts about what is going to happen this weekend. I'm praying for a good game with no injuries! Good luck!

  • Have fun in Lincoln, it's a one of a kind experience for sure.

I honestly don't know what to think this weekend. I think we score in the 30s, but if we refuse to keep Robinson in the pocket, that may not be enough. My hope is that the team remains focused after a strong 4th quarter and hangs onto the dang ball. If not, it could snowball just like last year's second half after the fumble on the opening kickoff.

Here's to a good game! Have fun!

  • If we can hang onto the ball and TM doesn't throw any interceptions, we will score a minimum of 30. I do not know which one of our bipolar defensive units will show up however. There are two possible outcomes: If we play an entire game the way this team can, the score could be 42-20 Nebraska. If we play the way we have been (which is most likely), it will be 20-42 Michigan. But, hopefully the Huskers will give the Wolverines the first beating at home since 1911. GBR!

  • Thanks guys, I'm not going, I wish I was was. That is a must in my lifetime though, and now that you are in the big ten, its a a for sure at some point.

The game this year will be different then last year. Our defense is a solid unit , but unlike Michigan state, there isn't a ton of individual stars. The team is made up of players who are servicable everywhere besides Jake Ryan at linebacker who is budding. We have locked down running qb's but martinez can hurt tou downfield. That changes everything. You will score points....

If our offense is clicking it will be rough to stop, but
this is an offense that just kicked four field goals at home.

You guys are just like almost all other teams in the B1G this year (including us), capable of looking like world beaters one minute, then looking like total sh*t the next and kicking 4 FGs at home.

Weird year, weird conference. Nobody is very good, even the unbeaten Yukeyes. If they were able to be ranked, they would be WAAAY over rated, they aren't very good.

I'm going to go with my heart on this weekend's game and say we start to hit our stride like we've done in the second half of seasons under Pelini and this will be our one lights-out game we play defensively.

  • I'll be there... there's no way I would be caught dead making a prediction on this game.

  • Thanks for stopping by. We NEED to use our tight ends this game. If we can unhinged your defense, this is where I see it coming. I foresee a breakout game from this guy named Heard who will be making non message board fans be like. "Where did this guy come from". I am not scared of your passing attack with shoelace and I am hoping we come out like a stealth and blow up your ground game with speed, precision, and power that have yet to be seen this year consistently. Then we'll fumble and I'll go back to my reserved applause.

If one is objective and you look at performances against average to above average competition, even going back to last year, you have to expect that Nebraska will turn the ball over multiple times and both sides of the ball will play horrendous for multiple qtrs and/or halves of the game; and Nebraska will lose and most likely in ugly fashion.

However, what Nebraska fans can HOPE for, and it's not far fetched because it has been accomplished twice this season (Wisky, Northwestern) and once last year (OSU), is that the team makes some incredulous comeback after an embarrassing show of football execution.

Anything else is pure hope and dreams and not based in current/recent performances.

Where/when does the corner get turned????shrug

If we got rid of Bo you would just complain about the next guy.

Actually no. I was very positive about Bo when he was first hired. After the 09 season, I thought he was going to be the Next great Head coach and take us to NC games. Damn I was wrong.

  • Nebraska has to win the turnover battle in order to win and we have not done it all year.

    Prediction:

    Mich 34
    Neb 24

  • We have turnover issues as well although it seems as if denard has really started to figure that out since the notre dame 5 pick game.
On the other hand we were a second half team last year and its looking like we are this year as well. We have gotten better each and every week. This should be a close one. The night game may be the deal sealer here...

To say you have no optimism about the team you root for unless they get rid of the coach is freaking pathetic.

We've been through lots of stuff the last decade, but I've never lost the optimism that the team will eventually get back to where we want, regardless of who the coach was.

If you want to pat yourself on the back for being the "anti-fan" knock yourself out.

And Klein, is right. Some are just professional bitchers. When the team does well, you are nowhere to be found. The only things you have to say then is crap nobody cares about. But when things go badly, you are more prolific than Tolstoy. You can't find enough ways to criticize.

BTW, editing what another member said in a quoted post is pure censored. Grow up.

  • UV for you sir. "fans" like Lando are pathetic and embarrassing to a classy fan base. I'm sure he's an okay dude and I would buy him a beer but on here his schtick has run its course.

Welcome, thanks for the compliments. It's hard to say how it will go. I think it depends on which husker team shows up on Saturday, that will spell the outcome of the game. We could really show up and keep Michigan in check and out score them or we could show up and have a bunch of turn overs, Int's, etc and end up losing big to Michigan. Normally we are really good at home so that will be our advantage, other than that if TM plays 4 qrts like he did the last half of last weeks game then we win.

    Kram

  • Wishful thinking on my part probably, but I have Huskers 38-34. I'm hoping we play our most complete game of the season.

  • Take it easy, guys. No name-calling and/or personal attacks.

    Thanks.

    Kevin Ryan

  • Just dawned on me that MSU had absolutely no help from their receivers in their loss to Michigan. Those guys lost the game for them. They were open all day and couldn't come down with anything. They were OPEN and should have won had they had catches. This is a strong point on our team. Their pass d is inflated because of this. Gonna pour some more koolaid boys and go back to bed. Feelings on a win are starting to rise!
