    You may have missed my point.

    My point was that taxes don't matter when the deficit is going to increase regardless of what is taxed... And taxing something that less than half of the population uses regularly won't put a dent into the deficit anyway.

    There is no need to increase taxes at all (that is for a different conversation though), what we need to do is stop spending more than we make, and to increase the value of the dollar(put some restrictions on the FED). That is the first step to bringing an end to our debt, and until then, increased taxes(on anything) won't help us.

    Agree....1st thing I would cut out if I was the "Grand Poopah" is the full pay retirement politicians get, even if they only serve one term....it's ridiculous....serve one term, get $180k/year for rest of your life....

    Yeah, that makes a lot of sense...
