He will have to do some jail time right? I know it is up to 6 years, but you would think he would have to do at least a few months.

Dude was found guilty of hitting a cop. Not a judge but I know this isn't taken lightly.

The OWH article said most people convicted of this get a max of 180 days in jail, but most only get probation. Given that Zo doesnt have a prior record, and the video is sketchy at best, I doubt he gets more than probation.

I think you'll see the jail time deferred meaning he wont serve it if his PO recommends waivingit to the judge. I also think you'll see a high number of community service hours given the resources of the organization he works for. He will most likely not be allowed to drink and be subject to random UA's. He will probably get LoR's from people in the Pats organization that will help. I'd just be real surprised to him get hammered
For this. From a societal pov nothing is gained by it.

standard MO in this sort of case is 100+ days in prison. I'd bet he serves a few months.

I know what you mean Klein, but it would be jail, not prison, if he's sentenced to a term less than a year long.

It's unfortunate; Dennard gets what he gets (he's an adult who wears "long pants" now). It wont affect Nebraska one way or another. Like LandoHusker had stated (+UV) he will always be a convicted felon period!
