  • I'm more excited about this addition of Jackson than for any other player next season. Has a chance to be very special because he is gifted and has football instincts. He could be the Lavonte David of the secondary. To early to tell. but I'm excited to see if I'm right on this one.

  • I think we'll see Jackson as a starter next season. Not sure if he'll be a corner or a safety but I'm fairly confident he'll be a starter.

  • I hope he can grasp the D. Really look forward to his development.

  • I am really excited to see Jackson get more action... This defense needs a playmaker and I have a feeling he can be the catalyst.

  • A motivated player with skills in defensive back field! The coaches need to make up their minds once and for all and stop "jerking" CJ around!

I do mean that in a respectable way; play CJ at the best position. He's a natural corner with spectacular tackling techniques. Moving him around back and furth where ever the licks are in the defensive back field may be counter productive to his future FB aspirations,

I gotta agree with you here. Would love to see him at a position and stick to it. Very different technique between playing safety and corner. My feeling is that coaches think his tackling ability seperates him and that because we use our safeties so much in run fits, he is the most valuable there. On a side note, I also wouldn't mind considering moving Heard back to corner. We are going to have ton of talent at running back and he seems to be under utilized there. Plus, we will be thin at corner moving forward.

  • If you agree to keep CJ at one spot and to stop moving him around, why do you think its a good idea to do it to Heard?

I think that Heard is in a spot where there is a bit of a log jam. I think that we have a ton of talent at RB. We are much thinner at CB and from all accounts was doing well. I think he is a great talent and think that he could have more of an impact at CB, as opposed to getting 8-10 carries a game.

Honestly the way Heard was used this year we coil shave kept him at CB and just used him both ways.

  • 28 carries in Big ten play.

And that was with our lead back out almost the entire season. If we were looking to take 2 backs this season I have NO idea why we moved heard back to RB.
