He might be great, but neither of his predecessors at Boise amounted to anything when they left for a legitimate conference. Koetter and Hawkins had both done quite well at Boise, but looked over matched when they went to a real conference.

Agree that CP looks like a solid coach, but getting your team ready 2 or 3 times a year for teams that could possibly beat you is different than having your team ready 6-7 times a year for teams that possibly could beat you. Big difference.

IMO, I think he will stay at Boise until it's clear what's going on with conference alignment. If BSU can be in a decent conference and compete for championships with the big boys, I think he stays. He's reportedly not a guy seeking the limelight or a coach with a big ego.
