When does Rex return to the lineup??

  • I think Bo will hold him out until the CCG. I don't think he will start the game, and if things go well, he may hold him out of that game as well.

    My hope is that we win the CCG without him playing, and his first game back is the Rose Bowl.

    What do you guys think?

    Shouldn't play him until Iowa, and even then, if we do, it better not be the lion's share of carries. It still bewilders me that Heard doesn't get more than 3 or 4 carries at a time. I wish they'd give him a series or two in both the first and second halves. No reason Abdullah should be getting 30+ carries a game, especially if he's not 100%

    Not sure of his current status, but I would like to see the CCG with Ameer starting. Then let him go off in the Rose Bowl.

    If he is nearing 100% (once again I have no idea of his current status) give him some reps against Iowa to get him back in form and ready for the post season.

  • Ron Brown said after the game he wouldn't be surprised to see Rex this week. With it being senior day, I would guess that Burkhead would at least be in uniform.

    Agreed. I didn't know Abdullah was hurt, but I would like to see some of the pressure taken off him. Abdullah deliver some big hits, but he also takes some. The play where he somersaulted over the defender would have demolished most RB's. Ameer kept running downfield as if nothing had happened. flex

  • Let him rest. Bring him back for the B1G title game. We have lots of untapped potential here. No need to rush against inferior competition

    No brainer healthy or not he needs to wait till bowl game IF AT ALL. if he wants to play NFL he needs to NOT play anymore and get ready for the combine. NFL scouts already know what a healthy Rex can do and his work ethic!

    Most of us stated he came back too early we know we can win w/o him but for his future NFL chances i say don't play him till the bowl game IMO I wish him the best!

    Yep. I think AA has done a great job so far this year. But no reason for him to carry the ball 30 times a game.

    I could be wrong but that was my assumption. I added the MVP for my own little spin and would be a great way for Rex to end his carrer after a senior year riddled with injury. Long live superman #22

    Absolutely i think IMO is what wrecked Rex's body and is broken and slow to heal even though he was off spring practice. His body i guess got a beat down last year.

    AA is even smaller than Rex and 31 carries will wear him down fast its just a matter of time. Heard and Cross can relive him. RB management 101; but i hope the coaches know better! In fact Braylon Hear needs more touches .

    this isn't even close to accurate. Sprains happen regardless, it was a freak thing and had nothing to do with his amount of work in 2011.
