What do you like about this class?

OL can't be a B or B- with only 3 guys in the class.

    C+ = correct; a third of a grade higher = can't be!

May want to read my quote again. I said B or B-. Curious how you got that wrong when you quoted me.

You said the OL was a C+. I responded that it was a B-.

You then said OL can't be a B or B-.

Since you responded to me, and quoted me, there would be no reason to bring up the B grade, since neither one of us mentioned it. You may as well have quoted me and said, "OL can't be an A+ or a B-". It would make as much sense.

As it is, your statement is still retarded. You say it is a C+, but CAN'T be a B-, as if that is a major difference. I was just engaging in a little fun, and you responded with nonsense.

    But whatever...

Stop the holier than thou routine. You weren't engaging in fun. You replied with a snarky reply and it was met by one by me and now you don't like it.

    Linebackers

This doent mean i dont like other commits, but these were some areas of need, in my opinion, and i think we nailed it.

However, I am not real impressed at other areas of need (OL, DL, CB). I believe we missed miserably at these positions. The current commits at these positions may pan out, but I don't think these were the dudes the staff was hustlin after early on.

I'm loving reading the rest of these responses. Thanks, all.

Wouldn't I have to make up some story about the elite 11 for that?

To elaborate further QB: A+ Stanton is a stud and fits what we'd like to do. Everything about him says leader. RB: A+ Newby and Taylor are one of the top 2 or 3 tandems in the nation this year. Both are special players WR: B+ Gladney and Walker are not dynamic players but they are very good. Dixon is also solid and gives you some versatility TE: B+ Sandland would've made this an A. Hart and Carter are very very good players and allow you to do different things offensively. OL: C+ Because of numbers. Finnin was huge. Knevel and Hannon are very good prospects. Landing Johnson certainly bumps this up. Kondolo + Johnson really bumps this up. DE: A Stud JUCO DE recruit and two very good looking high school players that will allow you to do different things in your fronts. DT: C+ Collins and Maurice have potential but still have to have some question marks. Very apparent we wanted a JUCO DT and we struck out big time. LB: A+ Very good core group. Good players at each of the 3 LB positions. CB: F We have no one. S: A- Have 3 solid players right now, one of which enrolled early to get a head start, which we may need for depth purposes.

    Really a good summation.

I think Dixon is going to be your CB. Corey Raymond wanted him for that position. Joseph recruited him and I suspect that's where he wants him.

We are Very likely going to get Johnson for the OL. We may take/get Kondolo I think we'll push harder (Cochran is gone for certain now) and I think we've got a good shot here.

What do you like about this class? Stanton? Two 4-star running backs? The LB corp?

I honestly don't have much insight on the other recruits but Stanton and T. Newby are as good a combination of talent and character as you are going to find.

As far as UCLA outrecruiting us that is true, but, believe me, Mora really wanted Newby. He is a seamless replacement for Jonathon Franklin, and Mora wanted him bad.

They get us in 1-1 situations to much. It's frustrating. Newby was awesome to get. I have a legit fist pump

I think Mora has impressed a lot of people out here, and he has gotten really good press all the way around. He is the "new kid" on the block and people are starting to tire of Kiffin and the failure of his teams to deliver on the field.

If we can kick UCLA's butt in Lincoln next season, which I think we can do, our stock in California will go up quite a lot. We really are a pretty good mesh with the O.C. and the I.E.

I'm sure he did and I'm glad that's a battle we won. With all that in mind, they'll likely have someone in their backyard next year they can bring in. They joy of having a great recruiting base in your own back yard.

Ya. Between USC being a joke, getting Stanton / Newby, and an ass whooping for UCLA next year in Lincoln we should have a great chance to get some talent out if Cali next year.

I remember a lot of talk about a-whooping UCLA in LA last year. I hope we actually deliver this time.

Well if our D knew how to tackle, stop crossing routes and Beck committed to a downhill run game, that might have happened. Granted that's a lot if ifs but I'm just saying. Here to the off season grind for the players and coaches and the 3rd Saturday in Sept is a great evening.

Their QB was a lot better than anyone thought he would be, and our D failed big time. We called a stupid ass zone read in the end zone, Taylor got smashed and lost his composure for a couple of series and the game was over.

I may be crazy, but I see next season's team as true scoring machine. I like us as a "quick strike" offense with Taylor running a wild ass O. I think Jamal will come into his own next season and, together with Braylon and (perhaps) Newby we have a three or four guys that can score from anywhere on the field. I figure our grind-it-out O will be good, too. More experience in the OL, AA slashing and Cross and Janovich bashing and a great possession receiver in Westerkamp. Should be fun to watch.
