So the rumblings of Heard leaving don't seem to be due to depth. It seems Bo&Co have used their available scholarships well with ball carriers. Behind Burkhead at IB we have the three heralded sophomores (Abdullah, Green, and the aforementioned Heard) and walk-ons Zach Taylor (SO) and Richard Wynne Jr. (RF). RF Murat Kuzu is noted as a RB on the roster as well.

Currently at FB, we have two JRs: Zimmerer and Marrow.

Coming in now on scholarship is the big back Imani Cross. Walking on in this class is King Frazier, Jordan Nelson and Graham Nabity at RB, and Carson Collins, Andy Janovich and Taylor Hoffman at FB. (The last two could possibly see time at LB.)

Cross is clearly a different kind of back than those on the existing roster. He plows ahead like Burkhead, but with a different construction. Some of the walk ons could earn a scholarship later, especially King Frazier who has an impressive reel. Hopefully next year we'll have another locally grown FB or two in the mix.

Is everyone comfortable with our depth here?
