The True # of Scholarships in NU's 2012 Recruiting Class

Nebraska was reported to have 16 scholarships available before Ward & Okafor left. Since NU isn't in the business of over-signing (thank goodness), Bo&Co. will assuredly make a hard stop at whatever # is truly available.
Are there now 18 spots for this class? If there are scholarships "free" after all recruits have pledged to their respective schools, what happens to those? (Are they offered to a walk-ons, to existing players that deserves them, left open for next year, etc.?) Thanks.

Pretty Sure the B1G rules state that you can have 3 extra scholarships... so since we had 16 scholarships available per B1G rules we could sign 19 as long as we don't go over the 85 scholarship maximum... so really, we could sign as many as 21 this class.

I think we are somewhere near 65 or 66 scholarship players (not including Seisay) which would mean we might get 19 or 20 players in this class. I'm sure there has been more attrition than just Ward and Okafor... I don't have any inside information just seems to fit the count i've heard.

We have 68 scholarships accounted for on the roster for next year.
Add 14 commits and you are at 82. Room for 3 under the 85 limit and add another 3 due to Big 10 signing rules.
