I definitely will. I came over a bunch a year and a half ago when you guys first joined the Big 10. Got a ton of respect for Nebraska and think our schools should play some very exciting games over the next 3-5 years. It's been a rotten season for MSU, but figure a couple of bounces go their way in '13 and they're back in the thick of the divisional race.

Best of luck the rest of the season. I'm all for keeping UM out of the Rose Bowl lol

"It's been a rotten season for MSU."

And tragically so, if you ask me. It's not enough to say that MSU is the best 5-5 team in the country. They have played so well in so many games they deserve more wins. That team truly deserves better than they've gotten.

I thought the win over Wisconsin was all they needed to turn the corner and I hope this loss won't get them down. Win the last two plus a bowl game! They deserve a better record..

Also, Maxwell is much better than his press or reputation.

Also experience helps a lot in close games. 2009 vs 2010 and 2011. Couple that with the easiest schedule we've seen in a while, and i think MSU and Nebraska (who also has a pretty easy schedule, slightly harder than ours) are the favorites for the legends crown next year.

Biggest thing for '13 and '14 is the fact that UM has to play tOSU every year and MSU/NEB miss them. I fully expect those 3 teams to be the competitive programs in the division for the next 3-5 year cycle.

Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.

Nebraska also has to play PSU every year, which doesnt seem like its going to lie down for the next 4 years like most thought they would. As long as IU doesnt drastically improve, MSU will get the biggest break of the 3.

  • Trust me, PSU will weaken every year going forward. This year is easy to handle compared to the restrictions they'll have going forward

Yep. They'll be losing McGloin, Hodges, Mauti, and Stanley to graduation. They literally have nobody to back up those guys that are the absolute backbone, heart, and soul of that football team. Next year, and the following 4 to 5 years (and beyond), are where the sholarship reductions will really be seen and felt.

Look at all the talent on USC's offense. Problem is they have no depth and have been demoralized on defense by a handful of injuries. Penn State doesn't recruit in the same galaxy as USC and will struggle much more than USC with twice as harsh of scholarship penalties.
