Basic. Not plural. As in Basic Military Training, or BMT.
I would also practice "Sir, trainee __________ reports as ordered." That will save you some hassle when you get there.

The fam is good, on rough times right now, but should be a lot better when I start basic and start bringing those checks home.
I should be starting June 1st though, as soon as I don't have any problems with the rest of my enlisting, finishing up the paperwork Thursday and should be scheduling an appointment with MEPS shortly after that.
