Taylor or Denard...

  • Pat Narduzzi thinks TM is faster than Denard. Wolverine DC Mattison says that "if they ran a race today, Martinez wouldn't even get to the medal round." What say you?

Didn't he have a front row to Taylor tweaking his ankle?

The quote made it sound like he meant literally today. Of course Taylor wouldn't win on an injured ankle. Healthy, I like Taylor's straight ahead speed

  • Well the DC will get another chance to measure next year.

Hope Taylor whizzes by Matttison on the sideline and waves on his way to the endzone

  • Taylor has more straight ahead speed(maybe). But during his RS Freshman year, tmart would have left denard in the dust. Truthfully, I think he has lost a step with all these injuries. He is still really fast, just not as fast as he was.

    Denard has more shake.

shouldn't coaches be a little smarter about what they say about oppos. I think TM wins race. I think denard wins shuttle run

  • Until after next year's combine and we can compare their 40 times the only way is to compare their Sports Science episodes. Robinson tops out at 21 mph and Taylor at 20.5 mph. Apparently Narduzzi has an internal radar gun.

I top out at 2.1 MPH. SF says if he trains me he can get me up to 8 MPH. He's good, but I'm still skeptical. shrug biggrin

  • Taylor tore up a really good Spartan D while Robinson sputtered against them.

I don't think dennard has the surrounding cast to open up a D like Taylor does. Put Robinson in our offense and he may have similar results as Taylor. Spartan D didnt really have much to worry about except containing Robinson imo. Not saying I prefer Robinson, but its a little tough to compare performances against teams they both played.

  • Denard might be faster... but Taylor is a better quarterback. The only race that matters between the two is the Legends race.

  • Denard might be faster; its hard to tell. Taylor goes from zero to top speed immediately, which is what makes him great. Denard has more make-you-miss in him, though Taylor's gotten better at that, too.

TM is light years ahead of Denard as a passer

  • Michigan's DC is just hurting and hating because he lost to Nebraska period and Taylor gashed his defense. Trust me it is not fun to lose at anytime. Like someone said coaches should not be engaged in nonsensical chatter like that. Their minds should be focused on next week's game with no "sidebars"!

FYI: I read in one of the sports journal that DR's best HS record in the 40 was 4.48 and TM's was 4.47! Go figure who cares. See what am saying! I hope no reporter ask Coach Bo the same question comparing DR and TM run time in the 40? Most of us could probably guess his answer! lol!

As far as i am concerned what matters now is for our HUSKERS focus on winning the rest of their 3 games play and WIN the BIG 10 championship go to the grand Daddy of them all the Rose bowl! That's how HUSKERS get National attention and respect

"Win all out" baby is task that must be done Coach Bo!! GO HUSKERS beat PSU!!

Bo would not allow himself to get caught up in that nonsense talk. He has a way around the media.

I would have to agree that he may have lost a step over the course of time. Whether it be injuries, a few more yards on the motor or just focusing on different things in his conditioning regimen he is a little slower that that RS Frosh year, not much but a little.
