I'm incredibly disappointed... Ill be honest in sayin I don't know much about him besides his time at Wisconsin... Can anyone convince me this is a good hire? Sounds like another hire of someone with little experience to "learn the job" in a way while here...

He's been an AD for 18 months and an associate AD for nearly 8 years prior to that. I don't think experience is the issue. He's also fairly young and familiar with the Big Ten which are both pluses in my mind.

Thanks for the welcome! I have to admit I did ask Alvarez if he had brought HIS resume with him when I met him on Saturday at a tailgate. Guess he was bringing a letter of recommendation for this guy instead.

I don't really know the athletic calendar, but wouldn't this be an odd time to resign? Unless he was already given the job.

I'm sure he had input.... I think Perlman is a smart man and remembers his last hire in a situation like this and will look anywhere for guidance (hence why he hired a search firm).
