I saw on twitter that he resigned as Miami's AD and is expected to come to Nebraska. Per ESPN
I know ESPN jumps the gun a little fast sometimes, but has anyone else heard this? And who is this guy?

He served at Wisconsin as deputy athletic director under Barry Alvarez from 2009 to 2011. Took the job at Miami in 2011. Joined Wisconsin's staff in 2006 after working at South Carolina.

I heard this too, on a local radio show here in Omaha (Sharp and Benning in the Morning... the best morning show they've had yet. Benning offers actual analysis instead of just ranting). For those wondering Eichorst was not at Miami during the who Shapiro thing, just got hired in 2011...
Heard on the radio that he felt like he got hired into a situation where the Miami board wasn't entirely clear on the NCAA issues, felt that he got hired into a no win situation. Other than that I'm know nothing about him, not enough to say whether or not this would be a good hire.

Will be interesting to see how this impacts the internal folks that were thought to be candidates. Not sure how much this hire excites me but will be interesting to learn more about him.

About all I have been able to find out is what alex and klein have said. Anyone know anything else about the guy? I was honestly looking forward to Jamie Williams possibly being the guy, but like klein said idk enough about Eichorst to know if he would be good or not
