Sounds like Tom can't get his facts straight on Todd Peat Jr. and Ryan Klachko or Tyler Moore. Aaron wasn't willing to hang-in to out work and out compete Ameer, and then Rex gets hurt. If he'd stayed and out competed Ameer he might have been the feature back last year. Of course then Braylon would have been just as butt hurt, as he wouldn't have out worked Ameer. Ohio State loses a 4-star RB and 4-star OL and can't bring Clark on board. I guess Urban is just as much a failure at roster management as Bo, what a putz he is.

I didn't see in the article where he spoke to why Green left.
NU has had four high-profile recruits leave in the past year: defensive tackle Todd Peat Jr., offensive tackle Tyler Moore, running back Aaron Green and guard Ryan Klachko. Their reasons were different. Girlfriend, homesick, this thing, that thing.
Seems like he is giving two generic reasons and doesn't assign them to any one particular person. I take his point to mean that guys leave for different reasons and it doesn't really matter why they left, the fact is that they left the program.

Point being, he couldn't come on here and do his whiny bit without being forced to admit that Klachko isn't even playing football anymore, and that Tyler couldn't handle his homesick need to be with his girlfriend and Mom's home cooking. Peat Jr. just wouldn't do the work to be in shape to compete, and I stand pat on what I posted about Aaron - And Shatel didn't have the smarts to figure out that Aaron lost his chance to be the feature back at NU by sitting out last year at TCU.
He didn't do any comparatives, e.g., Urban losing 4-star talent also, and now trying just like NU to fill out his roster.
If I sound like I'm tired of all of the hand-wringing over Braylon when we have the top backs out of CA and Texas coming in to prove they belong on the field next year ...I am.
I've never bought into looking backwards to prove what can happen in the future.

There was a cursory acknowledgement that it's a trend in modern cfb, but that is the salient point and it needed to be addressed in depth. Is our experience unique or the new norm? Who knows! We're just left with the "well, duh" point of "it'd be better if our good recruits panned out and stuck around." Yeah, I think we can all agree that that would be pretty cool.

Actually, it's quite possible that it may be unique to Nebraska. It's not all on Bo either.
The report Damon Benning used this morning spoke to Nebraska having only 3 RB's having stayed 3 yrs or longer at Nebraska since 2002. And there were something like 10 RB's that left the program all together. It was kinda startling.

the only one of those transfers that hurt us was Moore... Green probably won't even start at TCU in 2013. Heard transfering is frustrating, but what's more frustrating is that the story is all kinds of weird with different sources saying different things and the University, Coach Pelini and Braylon Heard have let people speculate and haven't said anything to this point. Odd indeed.
