I'll let one of the X's and O's guys break it down, but the containment on the outside runs was especially awful. Then the weak interior defensive line play allowed gashing runs up the middle. Our usually good tackling safety took some awful angles. Pretty awful tackling all around.

We flat got outcoached ,played etc. It was bad Bo feeling it today.

Sane reason Texas A&M beat Alabama at home they were a better team that day. In Nebraska's defeat it was 70 points against the defense!

There's some discrepancy there. One group think it was a failure on behalf of x's and o's - which makes the most sense. How else could a 10-2 lose to an 7-5 team they had defeated two months ago?

I think it was just a pathetic performance, honestly. We missed Baker Steinkuhler in the middle due to injury and Wisconsin just ran all over us. They destroyed us inside and outside the has marks.

You don't run the ball 50 times and pick up 539 yards on the run because of x's and o's IMO. It was just a crap effort. Terrible angles, arm tackles, absolute domination in the trenches on both sides of the ball, and turnovers. Sums it up for me. It just seemed like every play was up the middle untouched or to the outside where there didn't seem to be any defenders.

Some people are trying to say Wisconsin hit us with a curve ball, but that does not explain a 40 point loss to a team you beat earlier in the year. Nebraska played equally awful v. Iowa last week. They were just a terrible team that was entirely hindered by the wind.

Offense was pretty terrible too. I heard rumors Martinez was sick before the game and I think it was true. He had the big run and some other good plays on the ground, but he turned it over 3 times and was off the target in his passes on almost every single play.

Worst game I've ever seen as a Husker. At least we all knew those drubbings under Callahan were because we were a crappy team with a crappy coach.

I didn't see the game...I was celebrating. Saw the score.

By the way, Georgia can be run on as well...maybe you can win a score fest.

As much as people want to point at coaching (and yes, the coaches need to fix the problems) The safeties and outside linebackers had awful games and did not play their responsibilities all game long. And when they tried they tackled poorly and took bad angles. Awful, awful execution and no passion on defense, they never really believed they could stop Wisconsin after the first quarter and it showed. There is no excuse for a defensive minded coach to give up 63 and 70 points in the same year.
