RE: Masters Thread

  • Just wanted to say THANKS to all of you guys who posted your tips/suggestions/stories on/about attending the Masters. The experience exceeded my expectations and I definitely had just about the best luck one could hope for at a golf tournament. I can't say it was ALL luck, because I wouldn't have been in the position to be lucky without following the sound advice I got from this board.

I saw Tiger throw a sh*t-fit from 10ft away on 5. Witnessed Bo Van Pelt's hole-in-one on 16 while scarfing down my 3rd BBQ sandwich and a beer. Caught a number of eagles..including the amateur Alex Henery...errrr...Patrick Cantlay's on 15. Even met a fellow Husker fan from Omaha. And then, after finishing the day watching the top pairings role through 16, my buddy and I, after debating whether or not to leave and watch the rest at home decide to head up to 10 and pray for a playoff. Our gamble paid off and we wound up watching Bubba's Masters-winning putt from about 20ft away (picture below - I'm the handsome feller in the red/black polo). And that was just the golf...everything about the event was special..run to perfection and, by-far, THE MOST fan-friendly venue I've ever been to. Definitely lived-up to the hype. I hope to go again next year...will be my last chance at our lottery on-base and last year living in Augusta.

Anyway, meant to post this sooner but have been crazy busy lately. Thanks again guys!

    Holy front row seat, Batman!

Awesome news. Glad you had a great time. My Sunday experience a few years ago with my dad and brother was incredible.
