OT: Scientist find evidence of the Higgs Boson Particle.

  • Scientists at Fermi Labs have discovered evidence of the elusive Higgs Boson Particle. For those that don't know what it is, it is basically the smallest particle that makes up atoms. It is the missing puzzle piece to particle physics, which intern should lead to there finally being a unified theory of physics, which then could lead to time travel. Well, not the kind of time travel we see in the movies, but Theory of Relativity type time travel with wormholes and hyperdrive. What do you guys think?

This is sweet... love that stuff. I am ashamed to announce that the first time heard of the elusive Higgs Boson Particle was on an episode of Big Bang Theory when Sheldon was playing Pictionary with Leonard and Penny. Ha. It's definitely interesting stuff though.

Well, in as few a words as possible, it's the God Particle. Omnipresence, multi-dimensional kinda thing. String theory. The proverbial Pandora's Box (?) or Prometheus' Cosmic gift to mankind.

This should finally prove the Multiverse Theory to be true.

I had read last month they were getting close to Higgs but you are saying they found it? Link anything you have on this please.

The article I read was from my Pulse app on my phone, let me see what I can find. And to be clear, they haven't actually seen the particle yet, just found evidence in their measurements, but that is a whole hell of a lot closer than they were before, it's only a matter of time now before they actually see it though.

  • Here is an article about it. They are being very cautiously optimistic right now, but trust me, physicists are very excited about the findings.

  • Thanks for the link Rule. This is what I read last month in Discover mag. Soon maybe
