OT-Sad day for the Bears!

So they hire a guy who has been an OC but no higher for years in the NFL and a Head Coach only in the CFL. Am I the only Bears fan who thinks this is a disaster? Also, now I hear this staff is big on Tebow? What have I done to deserve this?

Well, I wasn't exactly happy with the firing of Lovie in the first place. So this hire is definitely less than impressive. Especially with the extensive search and number of interviews.

You guys aren't doing the wins exchange rate correctly. An 11-win season is worth like 14.5 here in the States.

I don't get why this hire is being mocked by the national media.
Its a great hire. I didn't want Lovie gone, but Marinelli stays and will run the defense just as well as Lovie could.
Trestman got absolutely GLOWING reviews by Steve Young and Rich Gannon, two guys who know a little something about player the position of quarterback.
He is not just some CFL guy either. The national media needs to do research before they say anything. This hire is going to work. If it doesn't it'll be because of Cutler and I'll stand by the statement until i'm in my grave. The relationship between Cutler and Testman is will be my deciding factor on if Cutler is or is not a coach killer.

Personally I think your bigger concern is can you get someone to take Cutler off your hands so you can get a real QB. JMO.

I still can't believe they fired Lovie. Almost as much as I can't believe he hasn't got a job yet.
Culter is the issue in Chicago. Wasn't Lovie.

No it's not cutler. As someone who was skeptical of the trade 5 years ago I can freely admit I have a man crush in him at this point.
If you are a knowledgeable fan if the bears you know that he is the least of the teams problems. The offensive line has been neglected since the day he was acquired. Cutler has some room to grow as a leader but the guy has never been on a winner. It soundalike Trestman is the perfect fit for him.
Ill say this though. There is only one quarterback in the NFL who could replace cutler in the bears curret offense state and be more successful. Rodgers. I honestly believe that.
