Isn't UCLA still heavily recruiting Thomas Tyner?

The guy decommitted and recommitted to Oregon in October after flirting with UCLA.

With the pending sanctions coming down on Oregon prior to the start of the 2013 season, one has to believe current Oregon commits will be looking elsewhere. Particularly a guy who had questions before.

Add in the real possibility of Kelly bolting to the NFL, and Oregon commits look like free game right now.

It has been said by Ducks fans they intend to take 3 rbs in this class. They have 2 right now and they appear to be very solid. The pecking order appears to be Terean Foster and then Terrell Newby.

Foster seems to be a ND lean but apparently the O staff hasn't given up. If the staff is intent on taking 3 backs in this class they will eventually go after newby.

ChrisCourtney said that Oregon has yet to offer Newby but likely will if/when Newby visitis in January. I would expect that visit is contingent on the status of Terean Foster.

I am concerned by Oregon making a late run. Newby has said he is not scared of competition and i don't think has any issues with RSing so we should not be so fast to count them out. After all, he hasnt...

Decisions like these aren't easy ones but I hope he makes it with his head(Nebraska) and not his heart(ucla). Being considered a hometown hero may be appealing but it's not like the bruins don't have other options. Next recruiting cycle they'll be pumping the same noise to another local prospect.

Oregon hasn't recruited him that hard so to be in his top 3 says something...Tarean Folston and Kani Benoit are two backs Oregon could end up wit...grades are in question for Newby who reminds me of Ken Simonton but taller and faster.

Also, Thomas Tyner and Dontre Wilson are both Ducks as long as RB coach Gary Campbell is there...free game..doesn't look to be the case. All seem solid at this point but things could change...it is recruitin.

By the way, good analysis by bear down...Jamel James openin up his recruitment leads me to believe as well that Tarean Folston is leanin Irish.

we lead but it's not insurmountable. Kid is making sure he sees everything before deciding. Can't balk at that. We're in good shape, just have to keep recruiting him.
