Nobody said anything about changing the uniforms. I have no problem with a different uniform look. There have been many jersey changes over the years. Stripes, no stripes BUT ALL BLACK IS PLAIN STUPID.

A Black helmet is also stupid.

I simply do not understand this obsession some fans have for seeing the team in black. Seriously, why?

Black is not part of the color scheme of the University. I have no problem with it as an accent color. They use it on the basketball unis.

I suppose it might be interesting, but why on earth would we want the team dressed all in black? TO said it wouldn't be drastic. All Black is drastic, so those of you who are hoping for it are going to be disappointed.

Should they ever wear all black and lose, I guarantee that will be the last time anyone will want to see black uniforms again.

Something with bugeaters across the chest, but keep the red and white for the traditionalist. Maybe add some black accent, or the D where the black uniforms and O where the red, but make sure you get the states approval. We have an 80 year old AD that came back to bring the traditions back, there will not be anything exotic see Oregon or Maryland. Only the diehards will even notice the changes.

Personally, I don't really care for the current uni with the horizontal stripes, but that's just me.

I wouldn't mind seeing something new with the color accents. Maybe a red helmet with the block N accented with black. In fact, I love the idea of a red helmet, and it's not like we haven't used them in the past. Red with black face mask would look awesome.

Red and black accented numbers and stripes, or an all Red uni with white and black accents.

I knew they were releasing them today and heard about half were dramatically different. It doesn't appear that is the case. My bad.

here is what mizzous site says about their school colors

it doesnt mention white as a color but look at the pic. whats your explanation for this? many school do it. i dont get your black argument at all. its a neutral color that many universities use for uniforms

im big on tradition as well but can we not do something different for 60 minutes? i mean its not a total change for a season. what could 1 game in a new look possibly do to tarnish the years of tradition that this program has? nothing, thats what. if its something you dont like then well lucky you because they will be back in the traditional uniforms the next week

We shouldn't permenantly change the unis but for one game a year it would be great. Love our tradition but a new uni every year would increase merchandise sales and thus increase money to the university. Win-Win.

I don't know how many times I have to state this but here it goes... It's not that black is a school color... it's a neutral color AND it hearkens back to the BLACKSHIRT tradition... that's the reason some people think it would look cool. And the players obviously agree... both Kenny Bell and Quincy Enunwa stated they would love to play in black.

It would be a futuristic change to the uniform but still have a chance to honor tradition, like so many people want it to.

I don't want to be misunderstood though, I would rather nothing be changed about the uniform, but if they are going to change something I think honoring the blackshirt tradition would be a great way to do it.

I do agree with you though that I doubt Osborne allows Adidas to mess with it that much... I doubt black is a realistic possibility. But that is the reason so many would like to see it.

And as for Osborne saying nothing drastic would happen, he also said the helmet would not be changed, then promptly came out and said that he cant say that for sure. My point is, NO ONE KNOWS WHAT WILL HAPPEN, neither you nor me or anyone else so stop talking down to us like we are idiots.
