Nebraska kickers disrespect Script Ohio

  • I don't know if any of you we're at the game and saw it but it was extremely disrespectful.

Two Nebraska kickers came out on the field while Script Ohio was in process and started warming up. That may sound like no big deal to you guys but it is to us.

Trust me. It won't ever be forgotten

  • Who cares? Nebraska interrupted a spelling bee I guess. Ohio State Penn State'd Nebraska.

    It's even.

Cool story, bro. Your band does not weigh heavy our minds today. Your alum on the other hand...

  • That kid who dotted the "I" was dreaming of that moment his entire life. His whole family was there to capture the moment. We hold our band in the same regard as our team (in some ways even higher).

Again. It was just disrespectful to something extremely important to the Ohio State community.

Frankly, it made Nebraska look bush league.

Frankly, a lot of crap we did lastnight made us look bad.

You are complaining at fans on a message board about a kicker who is led by someone who sure as hell knows your traditions. You are barking up the wrong tree. The only thing that is Bush League is you bringing this here.

I'm sure the Ohio State band is fantastic. However, they're the furthest thing from anyone's minds right now. I also doubt it was intentional.

Right. Lets just let it die then. No one here was on the field.

  • What is it with Big 10 fans and their adoration for their bands, group cheering, and other ridiculous stuff?

    Skerz

  • One time, at band camp, a kicker kept me from dotting the "i" in Ohio.

This is really childish. Go away, you won and played great and were the better team.

  • Script Ohio is one of the biggest traditions in all of college football . It is a very big deal , especially to those of us who have called Ohio home . I want to apologize to husker fans for some buckeyes coming over here to I guess troll about it . Nobody on this board did that nor were on the field . It was just a dumb@@@ move by a few individuals , and by no means in my opinion a reflection a husker fans or husker nation . I wish you guys the best of luck the rest of the year . Go bucks

haha... seriously? That's a pathetic thing to get upset over. By the way it must not be that important or your coaches could have asked that the kickers wait on the sidelines real quick. No one approached them. So there you go... enjoy your win, stop looking for trivial unimportant things to get upset over.

    Bush league? are you serious.

Even if it was important(WHICH ITS NOT) you could chalk it up to being the first time there and cut us some slack.

    This is ridiculous

FTR, my "band camp" joke was made just to get under devidee's skin. He likes to come over and stir things up. I know the Script Ohio is an important tradition. But there isn't anything anyone on this board can do about it. I respect Ohio State and their traditions. Maybe devidee should sent a letter to Bo. But I think Pelini is already aware of your traditions. At least he should be.

team gets the last six minutes of half to warm up on the field, rules are rules. Didn't OSU disrespect MSU's tradition last week? Plus he wasn't even close to where they dotted the i anyways, no big deal.

It's cool the Husker fans that I met yesterday were all top notch. Our " Rant" Crew has been known to have Bleed Vag's. Usally they come to the Free Board on Bucknuts and try to stir shit. Once one Vag Bleeds the rest come swimming in like sharks and leave all butt hurt

I just wish we played you guys yearly, 2 great programs.

  • I like Nebraska. Still do. I was very pleased when I heard they were joining the B10 because I thought they were a great fit. One of the reasons I was so pleased was because I thought Nebraska fans understood the pagentry of college football, and that it's the traditions that help make it so special.
I find it hard to believe that fans of such a storied program do not understand either the pagentry or significance of what has been called by some the greatest tradition in all of college football...the dotting of the 'i". It certainly had no affect on the game. But for either the players, coaches or fans of a program with the historical prestige of Nebraska to not understand the lack of class that was shown by those idiots who went out to practice a couple field goals, is truely amazing.
It's not a sin to admit something is wrong or a mistake was made. Your players and/or coaches were wrong last night. Very wrong. And if some of you don't understand that, then perhaps the Big East would be a better fit.

The last 6 minutes of the half are open game for preparation on the field. If you don't want people on the field when you're dotting the 'i', do it sooner.

You won, grow up and move on with your life.
