  • I don't know how this convo became about whether he should be our starter, but I don't pretend to know what would happen if you took away Taylor.

    My pick would be the Oline. They had their best performance of the year against the best front 7 we've seen or will see until possibly the bowl game. They were outstanding, even inside of a couple really stupid penalties by ARod.

  • I wrote Oline and Lbs were the two crucial positions for us on saturday so I guess ill agree somewhat that the Oline did its job. Mostly. Sirles and ARod are frustrating. ARod in particular. They played well for a majority especially on the run game. That I'd obviously is where this unit thrives.

    I just feel that TM makes so many plays last night that its hard to cancel out. If he doesn't rush for 200 we possibly get blown out.

    I know his poor throws in the redzone could have cost us. But without him I don't feel we are in position to have a chance to win.

    I get the argument for Taylor how we don't comeback without him. True but without him we quite possibly wouldn't have had to come back either

    Hard to give offensive MVP in that respect

  • I've thought our OL has really improved over the last few games. They miss things every now and again but they are much better now then when the season started.

    And when I talk about OL I am excluding ARod

    I just want to know the player you feel had the most impact on winning that game? If not Taylor there has to be an answer.

    I'm not sure how much injuries have limited ARod in his career, but it is safe to say he hasn't lived up to his perceived potential when he arrived in Lincoln.

  • If Kenny Bell had caught that pass I would give offensive player of the game honors to him. Sure, he didn't catch a lot of ball on Saturday, but his downfield blocking was awesome. I think it was the 71 yard run where KB blocked three players with one block, then he cleared off of them and blocked a fourth player to allow Taylor to enter the endzone untouched. Without Kenny Bell blocking on that play I don't think Taylor scores a TD.
