  • After those first two games it was imperative to win the third. Still a very disappointing series for the Huskers as we really should have taken at least 2 out of 3 against that team. Nebraska's bats need to wake up... and fast. The pitching is better than last year, if the hitting can catch up this team could be dangerous.

  • Hate to be negative, but away from home we seem to only be dangerous to ourselves. It's gonna be awhile.

Well if you hate to be negative , don't do it....biggrin....Hitting like we are now and going into Cali next weekend we could come home 5-14 and that will be pretty darn ugly...

Impressive season so far. Before the BYU series, they had five pitchers ranging 8-20 IP's all under 3.00 ERA. Five.

Very surprised at them losing the BYU series. They're wanting to make up for that, no doubt.

  • Batting .239 as a team so far vs. .315 for last season. Only 3 guys hitting over .300 this year vs. 8 guys last year, including Sheff at .357, Sanguinetti at .323 and Pritchard at .387. Need those guys to find their form. Sure glad our pitching is tracking and keeping us in games. Good job by DeLeon, Hander, Pierce and the bullpen at L. Tech. Congrats. also to Edrington in his Husker debut last week. What a sweet glove. Let's start fresh in Cali. next weekend.
