  • The possibilities are endless when you have athletes on the edges. It makes me giddy.

    Think about this. Earlier this year we saw Cam running down the sideline covering a rb. Now he is playing DT. Hopefully those days will be over soon because i THINK Bo has found his recruiting lane.

  • The other guy who is getting left out here is Gerry

    That guy may be called a safety but he's got the frame to be a linebacker as well.

    The guy runs a 4.4. If he has coverage skills i could see him playing the Peso if we need. I have a feeling Bo is going to have fun coaching him.

    He said earlier this year when asked how he identifies players: "Speed, Speed, and more Speed."

    I think he's got it down, this will become one of the most dominating defenses in the B1G soon.

    Gerry needs to be a safety, we have little to no depth there right now. We need him at safety.

  • Depth at Safetly is low. We'll see what happens here in the next year or 2. I'd be surprised if we don't see someone like a Davie move back there, maybe Tyler Evans.

    I'm merely suggesting Gerry has a chance to be a hybrid player. Great skillset and is vastly underrated.

    PS i makes be mad that Marsh is playing qb right now.

    Afalava is starting in the middle. Brown sounds like he might be a pass rush specialist... It will be interesting to see what they do with him this year. I could see running a 3-4 look in passing situations and blitzing Gregory and Brown off the edge and then drop into nickel coverage.

    Love the future of the LB" across the board! This is the best group since 1999 by far!
    This is what I see stacking up for next year.

    Will LB`s #1 Santos, #2 Banderas
    Mike LB #1 Rose or Roach, #2 Afalava
    Buck LB #1 Anderson #2 Brown

    Redshirting Love and Newby but, you never know. They might be able to p/u the playbook faster and get on the field? I am just giddy on the potential of the whole group here!

    There's not much I don't like. I just like the others more. I think the other 3 have more upside. If I had to point out a concern on newby, it'd be that I'm concerned about his size. That's be it and its a small concern at that
