  • Haven't heard anything on him lately. Anyone know how his senior year is going? And if he has been doing any peer recruiting? And when was the last time he was in Lincoln? Any news...

Afalava's high school film is a tad better.

  • i think they are very similar. We'll see how Alfalva develops. Kid's a missile, but he will need to be aimed in the right direction. I'm glad we have these guys. Big time potential.

His HIGHLIGHT film may be better. A few highlight reel hits do not make the entire game film better.

disagree... Newby's senior film isn't even out yet.

  • I like newby a lot. That being said he's not in my top 4 of the guys we've signed last year and got committed this year

do you mean in general? Or specifically at Linebacker? In general, I would agree. At Linebacker I might put him at 4... I like Rose, Banderas, and Love a lot.

    At LB

    1. Alfava
    2. Brown
    3. Banderas
    t4. Rose
    t4. Love
    t4. Newby
    7. Anderson

and to put it in perspective...I think Anderson is a stud too.

It's hard to rank them... All of them could end up being fantastic for sure. Not sure I would put Afalava at #1 for me... but honestly, all of these guys can definitely be studs at the next level. A huge step up in athleticism from what we have right now. How does the starting line up look for next year?? Some growing pains for sure but it's going to be fun to watch!

I think we start with: Anderson, Roach, Santos

and then by the end of the season: Anderson, Rose/Afalava, Santos

I think Anderson and Santos definitely start, but that MLB spot I'm unsure of. Nevertheless, we will be so much more athletic than we have been in years.

I think Roach will start there, he has the most experience, but I think athleticism wins over experience about midway through the season.

  • Zaire has some work to do next season. These young guys will be nipping at his heels, no doubt.

    I'll rank the youngins

    NO CLUE

there it is, I honestly can't tell who is going to come out of this pack. I like every one of these kids.

Rose is probably the least talented athletically but something tells me he has the IT factor. It is going to be a real battle for the middle linebacker between him and Banderas.

I don't remember where the coaches have Brown and Alfalva slotted. I would guess Alfalva is weakside, meaning he'll probably battle with Newby when the time comes for that position.

Projecting again, I would think Brown and Love will be battling for the Stronside spot in the future.

Please, if you have more info than me, chime in.

    AHHH

So you've this this pattern as well.

That is Bo's style and it happens almost every year.

Afalava is starting in the middle. Brown sounds like he might be a pass rush specialist... It will be interesting to see what they do with him this year. I could see running a 3-4 look in passing situations and blitzing Gregory and Brown off the edge and then drop into nickel coverage.

  • Anyone think we will see something similar to the peso with all the talent we will have at LB?
