Hello everyone,
Mike, Michael and I have been kicking around the idea of creating a badge for folks that have been loyal to the site. We bounced some things off a couple other mods as well (BTBR, etc.) and I thnk it's going to be a combination of longevity (over a year as a VIP) and participation (right now we're leaning toward 366 posts and higher - being that if you've been here a year hopefully you have made one post a day on the board).
This would be different than the BYC badge that the original 12 hand out from time to time. This one would be more cut-and-dried for the criteria, etc.
We want the badge to be symbolic of NU, and something that will resonate with the fans now and in the future. Trying to figure out what that would be is part of the equation as well. One thought we've been kicking around is the "1962" badge. Devaney's first year in Lincoln was 1962, and he built the foundation for excellence. Our loyal posters/members are the foundation of this site and what we're building here.
Another possibility along those lines could be a "Four Corners" badge - in reference to the inscriptions at Memorial Stadium.
What do you guys think? Like the idea? Like the criteria?
I don't want it to be some crazy lofty minimums, but we want it to mean something and be a badge of honor as well.
Thoughts? Fire away.

Love the idea. How about a badge with the horseshoe (from the tunnel walk) put into it. It will be hard for me to decide between the BYC badge, Loyalty Badge, and my Hops badge... anyway we can sport 3 at one time?

1 post a day should be easy for those who post here, kinda alienates the lurkers to a extent. They pay just like everyone else. Make a lurker badge haha.
Also for "loyalty" is that those who no longer post on other boards?
Posters who came from other boards to here and no longer on other boards?
How deep do you wanna go with the loyalty side of things?
Those who brought others over as referral?
