OK.
A versatile dual-threat running QB in the NFL that was seriously injured in college isn't necessarily 'prone' to injury?
He'll run for his life in any offense. It it his normalcy. RGIII is the 2nd coming of Vince Young, yet he is inferior to Vince Young and nor the better.
Love RG III, but he screams absolute bust. True Dual-threat QB's just don't work in the NFL. A Dual-threat QB in the NFL is a guy who can sit in the pocket and throw darts while being able to escape pressure when needed.
Not a guy who tucks and runs at the 1st instance of pressure, nor a guy who can't throw stripes and read defenses.
Can RGIII sufficiently throw the passing tree that is demanded by the NFL for a true QB? Can he sit in the pocket and wait for guys to get open, or will he flee on a moments notice to let his feet try and win games like he has before?
He won't win games with his feet in the NFL. At least not for long.
Simply put, if RGIII really wants to be a QB in the NFL, he has to have the ability to throw the ball with efficiency and accuracy on a regular basis. He has to be able to throw the ball under pressure situations into tight windows.
All that without escaping the pocket and relying upon his legs to gain 1st downs. Because quite simply, that part of his game is over. While he may gain some, he won't get them in bushels like he enjoyed in college.
I'm calling my shot. RGIII is THE biggest bust in this year's draft. I doubt he even has Vince Young type success before being trade fodder and a possible switch to another position.

I disagree. I think RGIII is a much better passer than Cam Newton, and he played very well as a rookie.
RGIII completion percentage is crazy high, like 70% or something. He is fundamentally WAY better than VY. You could see VY being a trainwreck in the NFL. RGIII, I'm not so sure. I think he makes it.
I guess Washington thinks so, too, after the king's ransom they paid to move up to No. 2.

I don't know that he's inferior to Vince Young. That has yet to be seen.
The NFL has had a number of dual-threat types that have succeeded. They have to realign their instincts and sty in the pocket until they absolutely have to run. We agree on that.
The great running QB does bring another facet to the game, and scares the crap out of most Defensive Coordinators.
No offense, but nothing would please me more than for your prediction to turn out 100% wrong. I think you're going to be wrong, at least.

I'd love to be wrong as I really like RGIII. Kid is as good a person as you'll find. Just haven't seen enough if him throwing the variety of passes needed to be an NFL QB.
At Baylor he was basically throwing screens or deep routes. There was rarely much else in between.
At the beginning of the season it was questionable that he would even be drafted. Now we are talking about him being the 2nd overall pick in the draft?

Did you?
RGIII was on my Fantasy College Football team the last 2 years. He won the individual scoring title for me this year.
In the past 2 years, I have watched or followed every game he has played.
Games I watched him play the last 2 years:
2010: @ Wake Forest, @ TCU, Texas Tech, @ Texas, @ Oklahoma State, Oklahoma
2011: TCU, @ Kansas State, @ Texas A&M, @ Oklahoma State, Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas.
Does that make me an expert? No. But I think I have a pretty good idea of what RGIII has been asked to do while at Baylor the last 2 years.
How many games have you watched RGIII play much less interest you have had in his career at Baylor over the last 2 years?

Adam S and Morton have said its down to Zona and Denver. I am starting to think Zona might be jumping Denver. Should be interesting.
It will be one of those two, and to be honest, nobody knows which one it will be. I am hoping Denver obviously. Getting Manning over Tebow is a no brainer. I really do like Tebow though. But I like the thought of being a contender right now a little better.
