I don't know how much Bo and his staff are being paid but whatever it is, it aint enough! They have worked their butts off and have put together an outstanding recruiting class!

I was just very excited. Still am. Can't wait to get to work and tease all my Iowa Hawkeye coworkers who told me that former assistant Iowa coach and current Arkansas head coach Brett Bielema had Johnson locked up and that Bo stood no chance at getting him. I've never looked forward to going into work so much as I do now!

Believe me, I've been reminding them of that. I think most Iowa fans think Ferentz is a nice guy who should never be fired no matter how bad the program gets. I get that. I think he's one of the nicest guys in all of college football. He's a true gentleman and just a real class act. But his biggest problem is that he can't recruit consistently. His teams are made up of mediocre talent and they just don't have the horses to compete with Ohio State, Michigan and Nebraska. Chances are Ferentz will be at Iowa until his contract runs out in 2020 and then he'll retire. And speaking of contracts, I don't know how long Pelini's is for but if anyone deserves a contract extension, it's Bo. I've been very impressed with what he's accomplished at Nebraska and how he's put together back to back outstanding recruiting classes. Got to get ready for work. I'm making sure to wear my Husker 1995 National Champions tee shirt today!
