I agree but there seems to be a few who think that a lack of bitching constitutes apathy or a lack of understanding. I find both of those positions insulting. Most of the time I ignore those posts and move on but sometimes (mk, hw, lando) it's just too much. I came to this site because, at that time, there wasn't too many people pushing agendas. It was mostly a group of folks who wanted to talk football and read enjoyable posts. Now there is a very vocal group that is so blinded by their needs that they seem to be undermining the program just to get at the head coach. The argument that MK's post has no bearing on recruiting is transparent and if he honestly believes that then I have no idea what to say to him. Parents, team members, coaches and recruits all read these boards. We have evidence of that. Do people really think that the constant barrage of negativity has nothing to do with the lack of confidence in the program? If you do you are incredibly naive.
I'm going to share something now that is not intended to be anything other than an example. I've been in the Army for 8 years. I'm an EOD tech (bomb squad) that has only been in special mission units. In order to get there you have to go through selections and be interviewed by psychologists. I can tell you that as someone who has been assessed and been the assessor the one major thing I look at is being a team player. Do you bitch about things that are beyond your control? Do you support the people around you? Especially when they fail? Because we all fail. The difference is how we respond to failure. Keep moving forward. Be honest with yourself about your failings and make an effort to get better. I've learned a hell of lot more from my failings than any successes I've had. I see that resiliency in Bo and our Huskers.
People can laugh at this post if they want or down vote if it makes them feel better but my feeling is that there are a great deal of Husker fans who would agree with me. I've said before that I want this team to perform well. I don't want them to perform well because it adds value to me when I walk around in my Husker gear. I want them to achieve so they can experience the sum of all their successes and failures. I want them to succeed so they can spend the rest of their lives teaching others the lessons that they learned about hard work, faith, and family. Spending time overseas and coming home is hard because of the behavior of Americans in my eyes. I'd feel a great deal better about my country if I came home and witnessed true leadership. I mean that at the family level to the community and all the way up the chain to the national level. If you want to stomp your feet and scream about your needs I just don't have time for you. If you want to be part of a solution, whether that be by volunteering to help youth and high school athletics or just being positive then you have my full support. I'll do what I can for you and if you happen to be in Colorado Springs shoot me a msg and I'll come help out.
Sorry for the long winded post everyone but I needed to get that off my chest. One last thought too; If you cannot support the Huskers in a positive way that helps the program then why bother with them?

Big Lou,
Thank you for your service and your grasp of the entitlement sickness that has cloaked our society ...what can you do for me, and when--a societal psychosis that defines good, honest dedicated people as coming up short by not meeting every expectation for those that see personal entitlement as the norm in life for their own self fulfillment.
You are so correct. We all fail. To skewer another for failure short of great expectations is so foreign to me that I fail to hold that philosophy as credible.
What is important is your service and mentorship to others, as this is the tie that must bind us all together as the end game, for without that we eschew individual responsibility, humility, humor and faith in one another as our common commitment.
Thank you for reminding us of our duty to each other to build a stronger forum, fan base and program. Best wishes for Christmas and time with your family.
It's good to be the King.

Good hard honest work is great and should always be rewarded. What is lost here is that Bo is making $3mm+ a year. At that pay grade you have to produce. This isn't some average joe making $40k and came up short on his sales quota.
Also can you touch on why our society is so sick today. It appears the baby boomers blew it in almost every category with one major stat being the divorce rate. Maybe you can just lay it at their feet and stop bringing it up. It is a strawman in relation to what we are discussing.

TA, He was just responding to me and I thought the point of the thread was that there is nothing to debate concerning the facts. We get it. We see the same things. Some of us are just tired of people complaining about the same old stuff. And yes, I understand that you're tired of it being the same old stuff. I don't see Bo's boss on here though and he's the one that judges his performance. To continually complain about it is just tiring tho and it comes off as a bit self serving with some. The OP is just asking to lay off. Lets talk about other football stuff, boobs, beer, or hating the SEC cuz they're good.
It's good to be the King.
