Imani Cross

  • How's he doing with y'all? He was a stud at flowery branch not so much at North Hall, but I think he had suffered an injury while there. I remember him running me over like a train, when he was a freshman. Lol

  • He's done well and has been very popular with the fans here thus far. He played quite a bit in early season blowouts and ran very well. During the beginning of conference play he didn't see the field much. As the season wore on he grew into our sure-fire short yardage back. People think he has a good future. He's strong as an ox man, always falling forward. Lots of RB talent here right now and it looks like its only getting better so it'll be interesting to see if he ever gets to be more than our short yardage back but only time will tell.

Good kid too, one of the hardest working players on the team from what everyone says. Always staying late after practice and stuff.

  • Hello DTG. Cross is a beast. We utilized him in mostly short yardage situations, but due to our fortunate depth at RB, he didn't get as many touches as most fans would have liked. We're really looking forward to seeing him play a lot more next season. Thanks for your post.

  • We love him here. Mostly used as a short yardage back and touchdown vulture. Very happy he's a Husker.

I don't know if he has a nickname but sometimes we call him "Iron Cross" or "I Man". We're still working on it. We really like him around here and wish the best for him. He won Big Ten Freshman Player Of The Week back in September

I think it's cool that you played against him and have come over here to check in on him. Here's a thread we had about him a while back...

Imani Cross and the art of the "Stiff Arm".

No, not the stiff arm. This one was masterfully manly. Remember this play? - Imani ripped a 44 yarder in the 4th quarter. After

The nickname on the team is "Grandaddy Cross" which I find to be hilarious. He's one of my favorite interviews and he's someone Nebraska could have used better this season.

  • I think everyone really likes Imani. He's a hammer on the field and well like off. For some reason he's just a guy you want to root for.

  • The dude is a beast. I really can't believe how young he is based on his arms. Really interested to see him next season.

  • It's nice to hear all the good feedback on him. I hope to see him get some runs in the bowl game.

  • He has certainly provided a contribution even in his first year. I remember a comparison to Collins okafor but he has been better than that but needs to continue to develop.

Speaking of that, where is lando to weigh in on this?
