Go away simpleton. This board shouldn't be for RSS-type fools.

    Insightful, truly.

Since you seem to live in a cave or are infact one of the many clowns who stick their head in the sand and can't understand just how bad Nebraska is currently then let me help you out.

I got this from my same buddy who posted about the Top 15 DT's and Coach Kaz's crap excuses about DT recruiting.

    2007 v. Top 25 O's (5 games) - 40 PPG - 491.8 YPG

    2012 v. Top 25 O's (2 games) - 40.5 PPG - 621 YPG

    2007 v. Top 50 O's (8 games) - 40 PPG - 494.25 YPG

    2012 v. Top 50 O's (3 games) - 48 PPG - 580 YPG

    2007 v. Top 75 O's (10 games) - 42.1 PPG - 493.1 YPG

    2012 v. Top 75 O's (7 games) - 41.5 PPG - 481 YPG

Our Defense is awful, it has been awful all year, this coming off a pathetic display of defense last year.

We will be finishing with four-losses for the fifth straight year, we have now lost three straight bowl games and we will finish the season possibly un-ranked. In our last two biggest games of the year we will have given up the following numbers:

Total Yards: 1,229 - that is 614.50 YPG
Passing Yards: 528 - that is 229 YPG
Rushing Yards: 701 - that is 350.50 YPG
Points: 115 points - that is 57.50 PPG

Is this registering for you yet ? There is NOTHING to be proud about, we just set Cap-One bowl records for failures on the Defense front, this coming four-weeks after setting nearly every record in our programs history with Total Yards, Rushing Yards, Rushing YPC, first time in school history allowing two-rushers to reach 200+ yards in one-game.

If Georgia wasn't half in the bag due to their partying all week they would've dropped 60+ in this game and broken Wisconsin's Yardage total record they set four-weeks ago. Its time to wake up, if you can't handle the truth then you might wanna be the individual who rolls back to RSS to hear no evil, speak no evil, see no evil.

This is a very emotional time for you but why are you so convinced that everyone else has their head in the sand? Those numbers don't make anyone stupid. They're just numbers. Remember when TO told BC what it would take to survive a bad season?

Bo won 10 games this year. Had Callahan won 10 games he would still be the coach. Now those are numbers that matter and no amount of discontent or heartache by you can change them so why put yourself through it?

  • The sad truth is until our defense makes a 180 we will not be winning any important games anytime soon. We miss tackles, the secondary can't make a play on the ball what so ever (and gets called for PI 50% of the time), and we couldn't get a pass rush if they were using 3 o lineman. Sad all the way around

I thought we did much better tackling today compared to the B1G CCG. The secondary really had me confused though. I've been bragging them up and they let me down.

Poor ball skills. They haven't had any success with 50/50 balls all year. This is the area the DB's need to improve the most over spring ball.

I still have visions of that first bomb they threw. Green missed that by inches, and if he would have just turned his head that ball could of been his.

There are a lot of what its in this game and Aaron Murray made some fantastic throws and you can't take that away. But, going into this thing I didn't feel like we even belonged, but we do. We are so freaking close to bring elite I can taste it!

I watched with a family of Georgia fans and they came away extremely impressed and said they didn't think there was anyway we would keep it close. Both of these teams are going home with bloody noses and bruises, you can bet Georgia doesnt want to play us again next week.

Yeah I was dropping F bombs left and right. There was that one, another right in front of Bo where Bo saw it coming and had one of those body fits where he convulses/cusses/makes o faces, and the SJB one where he was actually in perfect position but had no idea and turned the wrong way. Reminded me of UCLA.

I have never team be in such good position in long passes and knock down so few. We art athletic enough to get in position but just not enough to make the play or comfortable enough to make the play. sure hope we improve in this area. Oh and having over the top safety help actually get there in time would be nice.

Thanks Big Lou, I am known for being optimistic but I firmly believe we are so freaking close. We ran out a defensive line with 4 guys that have no business going up against a top SEC line and they flat out brought it for 60 minutes. Maybe I'm just overly emotional but we are so close to putting it all together it makes me hurt.

  • Team played hard... we had a lot less talent than that team we played. And our secondary picked a really bad game to not have any ball skills after the 1st quarter. The glaring weakness though is the defensive line. Lack of pass rush all day, even from E-Mart. This defense lacks play makers and it showed in a bad way today. We'll have more talent on D next year, but less experience. Hopefully talent can make up for that lack of experience.

  • We've went from National Titles that were won with class to participation ribbons and moral victories. We have a coach that acts like a fool on the sidelines, refuses to hire the best coaches available, refuses to put in 100% effort in recruiting, and a coach who won't fire the ones that are bad. He is getting paid far too much money for this product. You can all bag on Callahan you want, but he ran circles around Bo in the recruiting department. I am at a loss for words regarding our defensive talent. I am as frustrated as you all and will always support the kids and the program but I cannot continue to support a coach that acts the way he does and who doesn't help himself. He has all the resources available. He refuses to use them because he is a bull-headed know-it-all. Oh and we need a team psychiatrist.

Link, you're telling the wrong people. We have no say in the coach or anything for that matter. We just like to talk football but go ahead and get it all out. We all need a good cry from time to time.

PS- I laughed my butt off at the last sentence. Not because it isn't true, just the way it read.

That's one great thing about this site. Even when things aren't going well the posters on this board are head-and-shoulders more reasonable than other places. We appreciate that, and I know you guys appreciate it.

Some folks have been telling me that others may be making the move here from other sites soon. I hope many do, but I hope they are the right kinds of posters as well - ones that understand what we're building here.

About the Safeties.... All year I was all over Stafford for being out of position but then he gets voted all B1G. So my question is; Did the coaches have them over playing run support because the front 7 weren't getting it done? Folks like to say that Bo's D runs through the back end but I've always felt it was predicated by great front 4-7 play. For instance, in '09 we played dime 90% of the time. That D didn't turn the corner till Phil D came on against va tech. So in that case the front 5 really allowed Bo to get creative with his back 6. I'll be watching the D-Line like a hawk this spring.

This actually crossed my mind during the game. I wonder if having him available for run support didn't affect some pass coverages.
