Maybe my expectations are low, but I'm not hanging my head after today. We went in and punched a big bad SEC team who came 5 yards from being in the national title in the mouth and battled until the end. The best team won, but how can you not be proud of these kids today? We were mismatched up front on both offense and defense and we schemed around it and got up in their a** all day.
I'm ready for spring ball!!

We just gave up 45 points & 585 Yards to a team who was completely un-motivated to be there, had no curfew all week in Orlando & had been getting plastered nightly at bars, we didn't go toe to toe with anybody.
Moral Victories should not be talked about.
Our Defense is on par with the 2007 unit, yet everyone is talking about this moral victory.

But we didn't quit or give up and we played hard...I'll give us that. Unfortunately...now is not the time for moral victories.

I'm not crucifying you. But I think Nebraska is better than moral victories. But, to be fair, maybe we're not anymore. And of course this isn't a 90s type squad. Or 60s, 70s or 80s. When the defense is giving up records like they do, well they're called records for a reason. The needs on defense and so alarming they're deafening. Maybe we should start being content with close but no cigar.

Well I would I say the fact that the 1994 Miami Hurricanes used the same approach PB describes going into that NC game. Does their behavior somehow diminish the achievement of TO and the 94 Huskers? No, that would be stupid.

You seem surprised Link. As far as I'm concerned the guys that played on D this year probably played over their heads. Going into the season we all new there would be depth/talent issues on D. There's a recruiting gap. Got it. I stopped worrying about it after the UCLA game. Some dipwad ESPN anchor is probably gonna get you riled up tonight. Just remember he's most likely a KSU/MU/CU fan that lives for the opportunity to make Husker fans feel bad.

No it doesn't. But poor defensive recruiting or whatever in 08/09/10 has left the cupboard a bit bare. Nothing can change that, not even a new coach. Any serious Husker fan saw this coming to start the year. There were no options at LB after ZA was injured. Few options at DT and they were injured. The DB's have had 3 coaches in as many years. None of this info makes it right.
We won 10 games, played in the CCG and a JAN 1 bowl. Other teams fans probably feel like that's not right either. Soooo just like Husker fans have done 117 out of 122 other years I will look to next year.
