  • Tough schedule to start but that was a known going into the season. Now a tough start for the Huskers to overcome, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger!

Yea, it's all a learning process. I'm mostly hoping that this start will help us in the B1G conference play for a conference title....coffee

  • Really difficult way to start the season, but we didn't have any warm up games either. This team is getting better, there's a lot of baseball left.

  • Thanks, Michael. Good write up. As you say...

"Nebraska is seeing just how important the little things on the diamond can be against good teams."

This, to me, seems key for wins going forward. Each of these losses have had moments where lack of execution resulted in opportunities for the opponent. These good opponents then made good on those opportunities. Our guys must have seen this and (we hope) learned. Learned the lesson you've pointed out.

And I hope Erstad is right when he said...

"It might be tough now, but it's going to be better for these guys in the long run."

BTW, DeLeon did good today. Really, really good. Pierce did well yesterday and Kubat is still out there yet to play. Could pitching be coming around? Oh, I hope so.
