    are those are vegas odds? i'd like to see true odds. i bet that would be around 60 to 1.

    Maybe relatively our position is about right, but the the odds are way off -- there's no value in that bet. I was extremely generous in my quick runthrough and even then I'm getting 105-1. I wouldn't be a bettor, realistically, until about 125-1.

    It's nothing against Nebraska...bookies skew these futures because they can. People get suckered in by the possibility of a big payday + emotional ties to their teams..

    EDIT: On second thought, I wrote off the possibility of getting to the NC without running the table. It's unlikely, but you can't ignore it. I'd say odds are probably more like 85-1 and I'm a bettor at 100-1.

    All the odds I have seen had Nebraska anywhere between a 30 to 40-1 bet to win the NC. I would have thought somewhere around 75-1. They just have done nothing to earn the benefit of the doubt.
