How will Nebraska fare in the draft?

  • What do you guys think? How high do you see Dennard, Crick and David going? Has Kinnie worked his way into the draft?

How do you see this draft playing out for Nebraska's former players?

I think Dennard, Crick and David will all go first day, but I honestly don't know where they will go. It sounds like David might get a look late in the first round, and someone is going to get a steal and grab Fonzie in the 2nd round.

I think BK has too many drops on film to go in the draft but he will get a shot as a free agent. It certainly would help us recruit more WRs if he does get drafted though.

  • Do most of you think that David will go before Dennard, or vice versa? I haven't checked any mocks, prognostications, etc. Just asking.

    Darn tough question.

I don't think either are 1st round, but look for both to go in the 2nd. I'll go with David going first as Dennard's injury is still a bit of a question, and the Senior Bowl and Bowl Game certainly didn't help him.

Don't see Kinnie getting drafted and Crick is a big time tweener. Hate to say it, but I think he might be a 5th rounder or later. Sad to see a guy come back for his Senior year and have it really cost him at the next level.

  • I think a lot with David depends on how many teams see him in person. With him, it's always a bit of a revelation when teams see him move on a football field.

I think David goes late first round, early second.

    Dennard in the second

    Crick sometime around the third

After his freak performance at Pro Day does Marcus Mendoza get a look as a free agent?

Cool. For some reason I had a feeling that Dennard would go before David. Guess I'll stick with that and dare to be different.

  • I have a feeling Crick is going to end up with a 3-4 team. That's just me hoping I guess, though, because he should be playing DE in a 3-4 system. Never understood why Nebraska moved him inside.

That is where he will get drafted is a DE in a 3-4 system. No way he plays DT in the NFL.
