I don't know about everyone else but it seems prime for us to take the next step. The last couple of years we have been in this spot a few times. After last week, do you think our players have taken that mental step. I think we have the talent, the coaches and the scheme. But the players haven't played consistent enough. Is this the week we get over the hump. Its gut check time!

Gosh I would like to think so... I thought the Ohio State game was going to be that time. Honestly, if we beat Michigan the real test of this team will be if they can handle the success. They've never been able to under Pelini. If they can handle success and finish the season like they need to it could be a HUGE spring board for next season.
If Nebraska could start 4-2 and finish 8-0 going into 2013 the vibe will be really good around the program. But we have to get through this game first, and if we can win, then we have to beat MSU... the most important game is literally always the next one. Let's see if they have finally figured that out.

No, and as others have noted, it will take more than one game to answer that question. If/when the team turns said corner, it would had to have started somewhere and maybe we can look back on the Michigan game and say it was then...
Turning the corner takes consistency, which means time. We can answer that question midway through next season in my opinion. Remember that the current state of the team didn't happen overnight, they have worked hard and been consistent to be what they currently (inconsistent, undisciplined, unfocused, some would say half talented, mistake prone, etc.) are today.
