  • I'd like to see opinions on the last half of the season. Bo has turned around a team in the 2nd half. Can he do it again?

  • Boy I would like to think so. I still see one loss coming from some where. It would be huge to finish of the season with a bang and have some momentum going into next season.

  • My assessment with this season so far is disappointment... we seem like the same team with a better offense. Personally, I wish I knew what this team was by know, but I can't honestly say that I know what this team is yet.

I think we can turn the season around, but, of course, it has to start with the Northwestern game.

I think it can come about through a better understanding by the coaching staff of how to use the guys that can make plays.

On O I think the key is in how we use Taylor. His deficiencies are fairly obvious and have been discussed ad nauseum. He can run the ball, and he has been effective when he does, particularly the last two games. I would put more designed runs for him in the game plan. I would not have him throw the ball across the field, but I would have him throw the ball vertically, where he is less likely to make a mistake. Long passes to Bell, short passes to Turner.

On D we need to start developing a "Gomes" and a "Hagg". Those were the guys that really made our D hard to beat. I would not play Fisher or Whaley. The equation for the front 7 has to include more guys with quickness. I would bring two of our bigger DB's in closer to the LOS and see who the playmakers are. Could be Cooper, Jackson or Osborne. Somebody that has athletic ability and quickness.

I would also have D take more risks on "takeaways". We have had guys in position to make INT's and fumble recoveries, but they have not been able to finish it off.

I'm right with Klein on this one. I never know what to expect from this team. One Q they could look like a top 10 squad. Next Q I feel like we are a high school team. I never know what is going to happen

I agree with you. The play by this team is mind numbing but really it has been that way since Bo took office. In my experience, organizations typically take on the behavior/tendancies of their leaders. I know he's calmed down this year but it may be a little late for the seniors. Hopefully going forward things will improve but I expect to see more stupid mistaks and missed opportunities this year. We could possibly finish 5-1 but I think it will still seem lame to some of us. As always, I hope I'm wrong. I hope to see Harvey Jackson stay on his feet and score next time he has an opportunity like Wisconsin gave him. I hope to see guys actually make the interception that hits them in the chest or get that one block that finally springs Heard for 80. Like their leader, they just don't seem able to get out of their own way yet.

I have thought about this question the past two weeks. It seems like each of the last 3 years there is a point in the season where it was make or break. 2009 after ISU, 2010 after TExas, 2011 after Wisconsin. In all three cases we played better when our backs were agains the wall. Having said that I think we are out of luck this time. Have a real bad feeling that things only get worse for the Huskers on Saturday. Now I am always nervious but you put yourself in the same position too many times there will be a time when things don't work out. I so hope I am wrong. For my health it may be best that I have to be at a wedding during the game this Saturday.

I can only hope for a turn around the second half of the season and hope we can go undefeated and make it into the championship game. I feel weary after the pounding OSU gave us and can only hope that Bo and co can do a turn around and start kicking butt. We all know that Bo needs to make some changes to inspire our players and put together a game plan that will take us through the end of this season. My concern is that Bo may not realize changes need to be made and the huskers falter. Go Big Red

  • I think it's going to get worse before it gets better this season. I'm all in for a win streak following the Michigan game.
