Obviously, with the recent pickup of reggie bush in free agency, this trade wouldnt happen in real life, but the lions, at the time, were in desperate need of an I-Back. Personally, I think MJD bounces back much like AP did. I think he has atleast 900 yards rushing and 300-400 yards receiving this year. MJD would be deadly in the Lions offense.

I dont think hed be a good value but he would fit well in Detroit. Strong back who can help in blitz protection and help bring some more leadership to the lockerroom. I get the move, just monetarily i'm wouldn't pay him what he wants. I fee like you can find a back very easily in this league through the draft. Use him like crazy for 3 or 4 years, and on to the next one. With the salary cap the way it is and rookie contracts being tapered, there just isn't a value in signing RBs to a second contract IMO.
