Doug DuBose

You talk about accleration, top end speed, and running with power, DuBose had it all packaged into a 5'11 190 pound frame.

If not for a torn ACL that took away his entire Senior season, who knows what could have been? Back then, torn knee ligaments were virtually career-ending, and players were never able to recover and get back to what they were before the injury like they can nowadays.

Still my favorite All-Time RB at Nebraska.

  • His speed is just insane. And is ability to make cuts are better than what I can do with my created player in NCAA.

PS. They called late hits very differently back then.

  • Thanks for sharing Skerz. I had an away #22 jersey as a kid (when DuBose was playing at NU). He was something special.

Nice post thanks. Something else I noticed watching DuBose's tribute was how quick the center was getting off the ball and into the D linemen. Was that Reminginton?

  • Good lord. Don't think I have ever seen highlights on him before. Boy had some wheels.

Great observation, Kram. Some of those O line's were dominant!
Doug was unquestionably a special athlete and fun to wach.
Ameer's running style kind of resembles Doug's IMO
    Thanks for the video!
