I like tm and obviously wish him nothing but the best here and after. Even if he won the rose and a NC next year his name would not be on the walls. Am I the only one who thinks his form still looks hideous, why can't he just set his feet and throw instead of hopping around before he throws. Like I said I like the guy but have NEVER seen a qb with form like his.

you cannot compare 2 conference championships (if IF he wins them ) with Zac Taylor or Ecrouch.
The Big 10 sucks. It is an awful conference full of awful teams. come on.
It was hard for me but I AM WILLING TO ADMIT TAYLOR ISN'T AS AWFUL AS I THOUGHT but since i can admit my fault can't some of you at least admit that you look at him with rose colored blinders on.
We are talking about putting him on Memorial Stadium and he isn't one of the top 20 QB's in the country and don't give me statistical nonsense. I will buy statistics if all the QB's played the exact same teams

Going out on a limb, but I think the general consensus is that we wait until his career is over before we even start asking questions like this.
The fact that he will likely bury every QB record in the books at Nebraska does bring up an interesting perspective however. Especially when 2 of the guys names and records that he is in the process of breaking are on that ring of honor.
The thing with Taylor is that he has started (or was slotted to start outside of injury) in every game of his career at Nebraska. That has never happened before. Most Husker QB's haven't been starters till their Junior and/or Senior seasons outside of a handful of guys.
While Taylor does have arguably the worst throwing motion of a Husker QB in the history of our program, he has improved his mechanics and completion percentage each and every year. This year he is leaps and bounds ahead of where he was last year. Who knows where he might be next year with more experience?
While his throwing motion is tough to watch, it is his decision-making and fumbling that have been his biggest weaknesses. Those problems have improved somewhat this year, and as you said, he is undeniably getting better.
Only Eric Crouch has shown the burst and ability to take it 80 yards on any given down in Nebraska football lore from the QB position. It is that electric ability that makes him what he is, and undoubtedly why Bo has held steadfast in his abilities.
Honest question, where does TMart rank right now? I think we could all put him behind Gill, Frazier, Frost, Crouch, and Tagge at this time, but where does he line up after that? After those guys we get into Brownson, Ferragamo, Humm, Steve Taylor, Gerry Gdowski and others. Is he better than those guys? I think he is better than Lord, Ganz, Zac Taylor, Joe Dailey, Mickey Joseph, Keithen McCant, Mike Grant, Travis Turner, Jeff Quinn, Tom Sorley, et al.
He still has 20 possible starts remaining in his career. That is more games than many of the guys I listed before ever started in their entire careers. There is still a lot of story to tell for TMart and his legacy at Nebraska. While it hasn't been a grand story to tell thus far, there is little doubt that bigger and better things are quite possibly on the horizon.
And by the way, I'll even admit I never thought Taylor would be as good or as effective as he has been this year. There is absolutely a lot of promise that he can and will get better. Finishing the season 6-0 with a Big 10 Championship and BCS Bowl game victory would certainly change a lot of perspective about how Taylor is viewed right now.
How about we let this thing finish out? In the 1993 Orange Bowl we looked as far and away from being competitive with the elite's of the college football world that our 60-3 run that ensued from 1993-1997 looked like pipedream at best. Not saying we will get sniffingly close to that kind of production, but things are on the improve with a lot of promising young players on the roster right now.

He's going to be the all time yardage leader in NU history, by a large margin. Say we end up winning a conference title either this year or next, (or both). Do they put #3 up on the South Stadium?
I know he's a much maligned guy, but when he leaves here, he's going to be VERY high up in a lot of categories in our record books.
My initial thought would be, probably not, however if they manage a couple of Rose Bowl appearances (even with a down conference), I think you'd have to consider it.
