There are a lot of guys still out there. Many will wait until the All America games to make their decisions. Some will even wait until signing day. I still think we will have about 15 by Feb. 2nd

I will go recheck. but the last time I checked there were 70 out of 247 not committed. And only3-6 had High interest in us.
If you are satisfied with 7 recruits in December, I don't even know what to tell you.

I knew going in that this would be a small class and that the staff was going to go after higher profile recruits. Some of that has backfired but it may still pan out if they can get 4 out of these 7. Peat, Fuller, Lambert, Rios, Diggs, Davis, and Afalava. I know that wouldn't equal 15 total but then they can round it out with some complementary guys. Wouldn't that be a pretty decent class with what we already have?

There would only be 4 complementary guys needed to get to 15 since we have 7 now and could get 4 of the big guys. Who they would be is something I can't answer but it seems like that's what happens every year. Guys like Abdullah come out of the woodwork at the last minute.

It would be pretty hard to take 25 considering we only have 14 seniors. We can take 18 per Big ten rules, and 20 if we were to go around the rules a little.
But 25 is just impossible.

That's correct, however, we also have a ton of recruits nearly in hand, who long ago stated their preference for waiting until January or their all-star games to announce their decisions.

What we do not have this year is about a dozen two and three star players that we would have had in a normal recruiting season.

In fact, over the last three seasons, the staff has landed 21 (6, 7 and 8 respectively) recruits after the regular season has ended. I think it's reasonable to expect that pattern to continue this season with even more late recruits due to the high quality of the players the staff is pursuing.

In point of fact, this class would already be full if we had taken ten or eleven such players, as we did in 2009 and 2010.

Which would mean we'd have no shot at landing Peat, or Lambert, or Fuller, or Rios, or Alford, or Afalava, or Valentine, or Moore, or Seisay, or Diggs.

that's just nonsense and an insult.
