  • Creighton a 8 seed playing Alabama andif they win they get UNC.....thought they would be a 6 or 7 at the lowest

  • Mo Valley is...the Mo Valley. There is a reason almost all of their rosters usually have 1-2 starters from BCS schools who couldn't get PT. 1/2 of the Valley just sucks. Bad.

    But CU wil be fine versus bama. The Tide better come ready to play D.

  • I think they'll handle Bama pretty easily, but that second round matchup is a doozy.

  • Did they beat anybody that made the dance other than Witchita St? They beat NU and Iowa that doesnt do much for your RPI. Sorry I'm not a Creighton fan, they need to try and play a few more teams that can help their RPI in non conference games. Their conference just doesnt get much respect nationally, KU, MU, KSU are right here. I know they dont want to take a chance of losing to the Creightons of the basketball world, but that is the only chance they have to get a better seeding.

    Not to mention they were ranked in the top 25 most the season and top 15 for part of it. And they finished in the top 25.

    WSU did win the conference. Or they won the conference title that matters more, a regular season title played over 16-18 games, 3 months and on every floor in the league. (Yes, the tourney gets the auto bid but that is so everyone has one last shot at the Dance and people pay attention to conference tourneys.)

    Yes, CU is good.

    Also, to another poster, CU had a good non-con this year. But to improve they would have to probably agree to one year road trips. Dana didn;t like that towards the end, maybe GM will?

  • If the Jays beat Bama UNC will absolutely destroy CU. That is as bad of a matchup as you could find for them. Nobody scores like Carolina and Creighton is atrocious on defense. UNC would put up triple digits easy.

    WSU is not really any better than Creighton. Heck they split their two games. I say they are even, if not even Creighton is better. Creighton had one bad week. Other than that, they were best in the conference. And the MVC is a solid mid major conference, and well respected.

  • I'm talking facts. The committee places much more emphasis on a regular season title than the tourney.

    Cu could be better or had the better season, but just comparing head to head match-ups there is no question WSU gets the nod. While it is 1-1, they took cu to the woodshed in omaha and pissed away a 10 pt (?) halftime at home, they didn't take a beating from CU.
