1st I agree that Sandland is likely going to play for Golden at Miami.
2nd I think it is really important to blame/trash our staff for the way we recruited him. NOT!!!
I'm not sure how you have come across the 'info' that Sandland wanted to commit but our coaches said nope but be that as it may If anyone thinks Golden and Miami would have backed off because he made a summer time committment to NU then you need to think harder and better.
And make no mistake NU did a superb job of recruiting Beau - just ask Him. If it doesn't turn out the last thing anybody needs is somebody from the distant reaches of the cheap seats throwing up crap about NU's very strong and very time consuming effort here.

Rumors happen on this board from time to time and they get posted and confusion will happen. Scooby was passing on info he had heard so it is not his fault because he got bad info, he admitted he was wrong.
We like to hear everyones opinions and thoughts and thus creates a dialoge within our group and we try to not blast someone for their opinions. Thank you for posting.
I may have missed something... why is everyone so convinced he's going to Miami now? Because of one article and Humble?
Oath Before Orders
I am not 100% convinced but from the tone of that article, and I've read many recruiting articles over many years, he really is charmed by Coach Golden. From what I've read in NU updates he has many positive words to say about the NU staff and I think he respects them a great deal. However this article went beyond respect. Given that it was written by a Miami guy it may have been slightly embellished. If not I just don't think it looks very good for NU comparing how he has talked about the two schools and staffs.
What is particularly sad about this is that in this day and age the more likely a coach is to move on the longer and louder he says just the opposite to recruits. I don't know enough about Coach Golden to say that is what he is doing here but it is an all too familiar script in college football nowadays.
Anyway good luck to Beau no matter what he decides.
I was with you the whole time on this one.

Teein' Off on Links
Yeah, doesn't look good.
I definitely don't blame the kid for being worried about who his coach is going to be at Nebraska. I can't blame him for wanting to choose a more secure and solid situation, if he does go that way.
Welcome to the board!!
Isn't Miami in trouble with the NCAA for recruiting violations?
Miami self imposed another post season ban trying to get in the good graces of the NCAA. They are still waiting on a ruling from the Nevin Shapiro scandal about players who received benefits. Cash, booze, drugs, hookers, yacht parties...No wonder they get the recruits they do.
