I want it addressed because I don't believe it happened..
It doesn't help us and im not digging for anything. I also am not making a mountain you my friend are doing that on your own.
Damaging things were said to our program and coach. I was looking for peoples opinions on the subject.
I have so far formed a very well informed opinion of you. And no one thinks that these things were actually said. So my purpose here in this thread will only be to reply to your so well thought out posts.
btw - my opinion is you took a knee jerk reaction and there is something deeper other than my words that fueled your response. OR
You can't read and comprehend.
Take time to READ THE POSTS he isn't on fire he is quoting me on something that I freaking agree with. Only difference is I would like peoples opinions or a little blurb from Pelini about it at some point. I don't like when people try to trash the program. Use you thumbs scroll up and read the freaking previous posts fireman.
I called him out for calling another poster out on being uninformed. As if you can't post unless you are a member of multiple services. He was being a ****.
I'll take a DV for speaking my mind on this kid I guess. So whoever gave it to me, I would say the same again. The kid is a loser.
Oath Before Orders
Wasn't me. I have no agenda here and am hashing it out in the appropriate forum.
You need to take a step back and check yourself. He wasn't attacking your post he was just touching on the subject you brought up. He wasn't attacking your opinion. Settle down
Klein and I went around and around on this. I'm not, nor have I been, really big on this kid. That said, NO ONE knows what he was telling our coaches the last week. And, digging into that snake pit in Alabama and the whole "it will be just like HS" deal from the Auburn coaches, he is going to need all the luck he can get. I think Fish's comment has more to do with how DW has been handling US. Saying what Bo allegedly said is absolutely non-controversial. I'd say the same thing to someone who ditched ME. Wouldn't you?
The subject I brought up was his reference to people not being able to post unless they are informed...
He said YOU - Referring to me I suppose?
"You are making a mountain out of a pimple on the molehill of a mountain."
It is on TBB. I didn't create it... All I freakin want is for at some point Pelini dismisses it when asked. IDC.
I may be wrong but I think he meant the first bit towards you and the rest towards everyone who is making a Big deal out of nothing.
The only damaging thing that was said came from the comments made by Walker.
More importantly "Good luck, you'll need it".
I gave my in a response to Lando's comment in which the OP directed the entire thread towards. (Lando and Husker SF). He was asking about the credibility of the newspaper as to whether it was a 'rag'. Lando basically stated it was a newspaper like any other. I agreed and gave my input.
After my response, you stated: " I don't give two SS whether he said it or not I just don't like the image it creates. I hope at some point it is addressed."
I then gave forth my opinion on the 'image' of Nebraska and how something so trivial doesn't really need to be all that worriesome when you logically look out upon the rest of the college football recruiting world.
You didn't like my opinion, and responded with this.
Now you want this less than trivial situation addressed. As I see it, you seem to want it addressed immediately. As we all know, our coaches can't talk about anything regarding their interaction with any recruit until after signing day. It won't and can't be addressed until after signing day.
Will a local journalist ask about it at that time? Maybe. I dont see it as big news.
Not sure where, or at any time, I took a knee jerk reaction. I gave my opinion without attacking you personally or taking anything out of context that was within the thread at the time.
You didn't like my opinion. Fine. Tell me why my opinion sucks. No need to go into statements like "I have so far formed a very well informed opinion of you", or "you took a knee jerk reaction", in order to make a point.
I didn't agree with your opinion. I didn't attack you personally. I gave forth my reasons as to why I disagreed.
We can banter all we want and refute another's opinions till the cow's come home. We should. It is what this site is for.
If you don't want somebody contesting your opinion, then I'm not sure we will ever see each other eye to eye all that often.
I will be the bigger man and end this... I know where he was going I have the evidence in my inbox. He should not have quoted my message it sent the wrong message. And it got much worse from there. I have no problem with any of you at all. I guess I was just trying to defend a poster who I thought was being wronged. No one seems to acknowledge happened at all.
I got mad and it is easy to type things here without truly reflecting.
My bad IBR and Zonie are both friends in red to me.
UV for you HW, you didn't deserve a DV.
...It ain't what they call you, it's what you answer to.
W. C. Fields
I dont care about what was said or the timetable.... READ..
Ugh you are arguing on Walker and I am arguing on something completely different.
Lets keep this convo to PMs and if this thread isn't dead let discussion continue.
All's well that ends well. UV's for DayByDay.
Don't mean to beat a dead horse here, but what is Nebraska fans' general opinion on Pelini?
No doubt he's a bit hotheaded but he's had a decent amount of success in the past few years.
He's no more a hot head than Urban Meyer or Nick Saban, just been portrayed differently by the media. He hasn't won as much as them either. He's a good, not great, coach right now that's still trying to figure things out. Some Nebraska fans love him, others are supportive but not in love, some are on the fence and some hate him.
Next question. [wink]
I think the best way to tag Pelini right now is concerned optimism.
He turned around a trainwreck of a football team back in 2008. Steady and solid progress was made in 2008 and 2009.
Since then? A lot more questions than answers have come about while he is winning enough games to be our head man.
It is a tough job. And it should be. Expectations are, and should be high at Nebraska.
The next step has to be made. That next step being a BCS bowl bid and/or conference championship.
In my most honest opinion, I think Bo has the next 2 years in order to make either of those 2 things happen. An easier Big 10 schedule and a rather comfortable OOC schedule the next 2 years should help in that march.
At some point in time, taking the next step has to be made. And while the bar is rather high, it isn't all that high.
There have been 37 other teams that have been to a BCS bowl game since Nebraska last played in one.
Either it happens in the next 2 years, or I think Nebraska moves on to another coach. With that said, I am on board with Bo getting over that hump and taking more and bigger steps in the future.
He started off good, then Failed to get to the next step. And will never now.
Laugh all you want. When you get blown out by a 7-5 team in a conference championship game, you have FAILED. And you will never win one.
wow... people who deal in absolutes like that are honestly not basing their opinions in reality. I suppose you said the same thing when Osborne lost 7 bowl games in row. He'll NEVER win the big one right!
Wisdom of the ages. Thanks, Lando. How would we ever endure this purgatory without your insight?
