looks like he is gonna be back for a 6th year. Not sure Im excited about this.
Not sure why he'd come back. Hope he doesn't play much. I'd rather have a talented, athletic Freshman LB that makes a few mistakes but a ton of good plays than him
Will Compton tweeted a little bit ago:
"Will Compton @_willcompton
Can't wait to c Sean Fisher back on that field next year!! #6thYear #ForgetMedSchool"
That really doesn't make sense to me. Becoming a physician is a LONG haul. Med school, internship, residency and then being an associate in a group before actually making any money. If this kid really wants to be a Plastic Surgeon, he'd best get started ASAP.
Although, with Obamacare looming, maybe he's punting the whole doctor thing. Not a bad idea, actually.

This may actually be a good thing having some experience and upperclassmen leadership for the younger guys. What I don't want to see is the younger guys making plays and outperforming him, like I think they can, and the coaches leave him on the field.
Feed me to the wolves, and I will return leader of the pack. #FreeDA
Problem is your concern is a very likely scenario
How many years would that actually take before becoming an actual surgeon, DOC?
Ugh, I know it.
This helps with continuity. Fisher is smart and knows Bo's D well. He'll lead.
Nebraska Old Gold Knights
Well, for me, after the 4 years of med school I did a 2 year surgical internship and then a 4 year radiology residency. After that I did a one year fellowship and then 2.5 years as an associate for the group I joined. Then, I had to buy into the group (about 150K). I didn't think I would ever get there.
For Sean, if he still wants to be a Plastic Surgeon, after med school he'd have to complete a 5 year General Surgery residency and then a Plastics fellowship which, I believe, average about 3 years.

He'll play and he'll play alot.
Hopefully Bo is smart and plays him in situations to succeed. I.e against Illinois, Purdue, open date, Minnesota, MSU, PSU, and Iowa.
I don't want him even dressing against UCLA and Northwestern.
Also, I want youngsters playing vs Wyoming, S. Miss, and SDSU

Oh so you don't doctor corn?
So this would put Sean 37-38 years old, give or take, until he may enter his career. He probably said "screw it, whats another year?"
Wow I'm surprised by the negative views here... I'm glad. Him and Zaire will be the experience. This is a good thing. As some of you know I haven't always been a big fisher fan. But this year he has played pretty good at times (see Wisconsin- the first time) just adds to the depth
probably wanted another year of fun before the grind. not like he will have another chance to play football again
NEBRASKA FOOTBALL= Great Players, Great Coaches, AMAZING PEOPLE
Pretty indifferent about this myself.
On one hand...he does give you some experience and knowledge of Bo's defense.
On the other hand...he is also guy who has looked mediocre for his entire career outside of the Michigan game this year and him returning will keep a younger guy from learning and developing with reps and he takes away a spot in this class.
this is not true Compton was just messing around
I spoke with @_willcompton regarding his tweet on Sean Fisher coming back. Compton was just having some fun and that is not official news.
Haha that's funny.
Proving once again that Twitter isn't always the best way to aggregate news.

What a troll job by Compton!
It's good to be the King.
dude... that was epic... high five to Will! all in all, we'll be fine if he comes back and fine if he doesn't. If he comes back the younger guys have a veteran to lean on, they may need that.
...or Sean Callahan!
Now THAT is an EMOTICON !!!
