I am jacked. Huskers win 38-17
Friday I am having a round-table discussion with a secretly selected group of Husker fans. The Extraorinadry League of Husker Gentleman. First year doing it so it should be interesting.
Saturday, I will be having my 'Husker Breakfast' which is fried chicken and a bloody Mary. I will then proceed to drink a minimum of dozen beers and go into the game jacked and loud.
My brother and his baby's mamma are coming in town from Houston. My brother, who is 12 years older than me, so about 40, hasn't been to a game in at least 10 years so it will be really exciting to watch it with him. I'm sure he will think I am a freak when i know who all the players are and where they are from before even seeing a game. Can't wait to annoy all the people around me with my constant analysis of every single play.
Opening day is my favorite day of the year. We get to see all the new players we've been hearing about and best of all i know that there are still 12 games left. I spend so much time reading, talking, and posting about this team and it will be so nice to be able to actually have a game to discuss, not just practice pictures.
Sunday I will get w my brother in-law and my wife's cousins and rewatch the game on DVR. We like to think of it as a film study. Win or lose always watch the game again the next day. You catch a lot more things watching it a second time because emotions are not involved so you can look for the 'little things'. Plus it gives you more to talk about for the 6 days leading up to the next game and that's what is all about
Good night all! Got my alarm set for 9-1-12 @ 5am. C u in Lincoln. GBR!!!
