We got the 4th overall seed in the tourny. First game is Thursday. Should be in the final four. Anything less would be disappointing ...
Lets keep all vball tourny talk in one centralized thread.
The official 2012 Division I Womens Volleyball Tournament, available at NCAA.com.
Going to the B1G will prove to be a great thing for our volleyball program.
Go Big Red
If the first 2 matches were not in Lincoln and the 2nd 2 matches in Omaha, I do not believe NU would have a great chance of getting there.
Yes, they can play to their potential at times and rise up for 1 match like PSU and UCLA, but have too many lapses.
But the biggest thing they need, is for Morgan to play to her potential every match. They need for her to show up all the time. Gina and Hannah can not be the only hitters to carry NU. If the 3rd option is working with Morgan, NU is going to be a tough out.
Just my opinion of course. The crowds did not make a difference last year against KSU, they got out worked and out played. They can not rely of the crowd again this year, they have to go out and take it!
Very solid. Morgan has too many lapses and she is a HUGE wildcard for us. If she gets hot, watch out. Haggerty is a freshman but plays her best in big matches. Thramer is one of the best blockers in the nation but is not a hitting threat. Gina is always her usual self and Werth is inconsistent but has come on strong lately. Our success lies with Morgan
Ok, who's your final four? Mine: Penn St, Oregon, Stanford & Texas. ...sorry NU fans.
PSU, NEB, UCLA, and idk Texas?... I feel the top right is definitely the easiest bracket of the 4.
Going to be a tough road to the Championship. However, gotta take advantage of the 4 "home games".

Yet again, just like the football team, it will come down to playing with consistency. Our volleyball team has the potential to be the best as evidenced by beating a #1 team twice this year.
Up 16-10 first set.
Obviously we're gonna win when this is our competition.
First set win 25-14. N.
11-3 second set us.
UMES IS UGLY. 24
Second set Huskers 25-10
During the break.
Am I the only one watching this? Go big red!
Making quick work of UMES... should be a clean sweep.
