Those of us that make it to NU home games will no longer get to see our Military do the flyover be for the game starts. Flyovers have been banned at all sporting events, because of government cutbacks. Hopefully this saves a few teachers jobs. Personally I loved the flyovers, gave me goosebumps.
In before the gov't rants start.

Goal in life is to make the Huskers Illustrated Hall Of Fame
I know from the other perspective, we're bummed we don't do those anymore. Always a treat to combine two passions in flying and anything Husker related. Hopefully in the future those will become an option again.

Yeah, this blows, for sure. I love flyovers, always gets your juices going before a game.
I have thought MANY times though as they are flying over, "I wonder how many tax payer dollars are spent this weekend's sporting events on these flyovers". Anyway, this stinks.
Considering military pilots get paid the same whether they are flying or not, the only cost of the fly-overs is the fuel for the aircraft. Pretty sad excuse to politicize the 'sequester'.
When did they start doing fly overs for NU games? I haven't been to Memorial Stadium since NU vs OU in 1982.
