A couple of explosions around the finish line of the Boston Marathon today.
Reports are starting to come in of multiple explosions near the finish line at the Boston Marathon, across from the Boston Public Library on Copley Square. Were updating below.
This is not good. Thoughts are with everyone injured and those around the marathon.
Kind of unreal some of the pictures coming out of there, hope everyone is okay.
The North Koreans?
Watching the live feed now, watching the replays, it's pretty nuts.
They've now confirmed there were two bombs. Unreal, what the hell is wrong with people? I don't get it.
seriously what the flying EDITED BY KEVIN is wrong with this country.
At least two dead. Too many.

Makes no sense. 2 dead, 22 injured, so far. Just makes no sense to me. How can people be so filled with hate they want to take it out on completely innocent people, out to celebrate one of the greatest events in this country?
Wow.......I'm being redundant but what goes threw peoples minds
Goal in life is to make the Huskers Illustrated Hall Of Fame
i used to think it would be a cool job to be part of counter-intelligence/counter-terrorism for CIA or FBI etc... but i'd fill up with hate way too fast. im pretty sure with situations like this if i got ahold of people responsible i'd do very unethical things.

Unethical things happen all the time with the CIA. I could do that job but wouldn't want to.
There were also, reportedly, other devices near the site that didn't detonate. The Boston Globe was tweeting that there were multiple controlled explosions by Boston Police to detonate the other devices.
Yep, reporting two more devices found.
Whoevers behind this are nothing but cowards. Prayers to all involved.
It is days like this that make me remember fondly my days in Lincoln (not that I don't often remember my time in Lincoln fondly). I work in Washington DC and live just a couple miles outside of DC in Virginia -- tonight l look forward to riding the Metro home from work with an extra security presence. Always a little nervous on these days when security is heightened.
I went to law school in Boston -- my thoughts and prayers go out to those who were killed/injured today and all the families affected by this tragedy. This is an act of cowardice. I hope that whomever is responsible is quickly identified, captured and punished to the fullest extent possible.
I worked at the USA Today/Gannett twin towers in Rosslyn before they moved out to McLean. Could see The Pentagon from the front window of the office.
My wife and I left DC on Aug 31 2001 - 11 days before 9/11. Then with the sniper stuff, etc., I was very thankful we left when we did.
Another sad day today.
Your team. All the time.
This is not just a Boston thing. I hate the Hawkeyes with a passion, but being an "Iowan" for the last 15 years I am deeply saddened to hear 158 Iowans ran that marathon. (Would be sad regardless) Could be a coworker, neighbor, whoever... The world is effed up. God be with those involved or with loved ones there...
